Yeah 28 on that list but then you also have Van Hecke, Roberts, Molumby, Baluta, Khadra and Locadia who are probably not content with playing U23 football next season.

Maybe you didn't see, or bother to read, where I said,"Still a few loans to be sorted - and room for one or two departures" then - which was precisely referring to the likes of Van Hecke, Roberts, Molumby, Baluta, Khadra,, Richards, Tau, Connolly, Walton, Alzate, Karbownik and Locadia (not all of them, obviously - it's for the recruitment/loan teams and GP to decide exactly which ones).

Not sure where we land but likely outgoing - is loan deals now for Khedra, Karbownik, and Van Hecke. Mutual contract termination or exit for Locadia, and sale/loan for Molumby, Walton and Baluta. .
And likely incoming - still where we were months ago a LWB and a striker. Plus - as is always the case with Albion a leftfield couple (eg: a Moder or a Mooy) or a youngster bought in and loaned out. Or maybe...nothing !

To your list, I'd add as a possibility the loan of at least one from Caicedo, Roberts and Richards.
There are 34 on your list, 25 with 9u-21s. We loan or sell the seven you indicate, and we've still got 27 which feels pretty big to me. Those three mentioned would benefit from playing Championship football rather than playing Cup football (for how long?) and the occasional inclusion in the first 18 for PL matches -- this, of course, assumes that GP doesn't have them in line to feature in the PL more regularly.

It’s been a really, really good summer for that but looking at the latest list it’s still an enormous squad!
If some of the youngsters are as close to the first team squad as we think there’s still gonna be a few exits of slightly senior (22+) players you’d imagine.
