I'll let you into a secret...we're not going up. .

A team in / around the top 6 is likely to have a positive impact on season ticket sales regardless of whether they are actually promoted.. This is now pretty likely for next March when 16/17 tickets go on sale. Or is a sale at Country Casuals more of a likely factor ?

Do the club or Sussex Police decide which category home games are?

Both, but in different ways.

Police: categorisation in terms of likelihood of trouble in order to determine policing levels.

Club: categorisation of "attractiveness" of the game for ticket pricing.

Very odd they left given a good price of £31 for north and two were newbies. Whats the problem with the north?
I cant answer that as i did not speak to them as they left , who knows , some peoples eyesight maybe a bit dodgey and cant see one end of pitch to the other , e.g the ref on saturday .

Anything else about the future you can share with us?

Ernest took the cup final money. He's played a massive deflection game. More massive than Leeds United.

Only a fool would underestimate the impact of a timely and attractive sale at Country Casuals. It's early days to predict next February, let's see how the Christmas trading period goes. That's what the Albions marketing team normally wait for before setting next years season ticket prices ;)

Again, I'm not bemoaning the crowd levels at absolute levels, but comparative:

8/11/14 v Blackburn 24,840
9/11/13 v Blackburn 27,912

3 walk ups in front of me in the queue for a on the day ticket yesterday , 1 had been before the other 2 newbies , they were wanting to sit in the east
Stand , they left ticketless , £41 a pop !!! Seriously thats mental , yep there were £31 tickets available in the North but they wanted the east ,this cat A B C is a bit of a pisstake frankly and the sooner its binned the better .

In short football is starting to alienate people on lower incomes who simply cant afford a matchday with all the trimmings a lot of us take for granted and it bloody stinks , it would be fantastic if the club took the lead and did away with cat matches at the very least.

Agree 100% I have friend late twenties married two Kids.Good honest working bloke. Has been twice this season..cannot afford to go.

The only time I've sat in the east was when transferred so could sit with some walk ups and they were charged £38 a few seasons back. And these were NOT exactly top seats, they were in the first few rows by the corner flag. So quite expensive all things considered in case people think £41 tickets are prime east stand tickets...they're not!

The total lack of investment in the team for 2 years

Stockdale £1 million
Baldock £1.8 million
Colunga €1.5 million
Stephens £750k
Crofts £650k
COG £500k
Kayal £300k

........and keeping within the confines of FFP.

Not quite a total lack of investment is it?

Am I alone in being a teeny bit disappointed that more of the good people of Sussex are not coming out to see the Albion still?

I appreciate yesterday there wasn't a large away contingent and there were the train issues from the West, but I still looked around at kick-off and most stands looked a bit 'gappy'.

Over 23,000 is wonderful of course - don't get me wrong. Most clubs in the division would love to have that level of support. I just want a few more people to come along and enjoy the current ride.

You are definitely not alone. I was expecting to see the attendance rebuilding towards last seasons levels at least. Not sure what the stay aways who claim to be fans are waiting for? It doesn't get much better than this. It's a tough division and we are not going to be beat people by 5/6 those days are gone although that said we could've been 4 up at HT yesterday. One thing I did notice yesterday was a lot more traffic around the stadium. The weather must've been a factor but it was disappointing to see so many empty seats.

This is also true. The Albions support will drop further I expect. If you take out the probable 3000 no shows yesterday then the actual attendence was really about 20-21k.

PS and £41 for an east stand walk up ticket is taking the Pisa. Justify all you like but it's as gob-smacking as the story this morning that Kevin Campbell has lost £7m investment along with load of other players like Savage and Keown. Really real shock was how the hell did a very average player like Kevin Campbell earn £7m to lose anyway? The amount players get is ridiculous!! FFS football, get your house in order!
3000 lol
I'd suspect the no shows last season were the ones that never renewed this season???
This stage of the season you won't get the pay on the day supporters as most will appear in the 2nd half of the season like most clubs and our ticket prices are bloody shocking...That's a days work for low earners :nono:

Also the away followings are not good...If you look at clubs like reading and Fulham who get shed loads of away fans. Many clubs crowds are dropping and you can see why as its rather expensive and to be fair football isn't what it used to be.

I was at Birmingham v the Albion at Easter 1983 and at Notts County 2 days later supporting the stripes. Didn't see you there though.

The £41 tickets were for ESU which are some of the most expensive seats going. Apart from North or South, they could have gone in West Lower or Upper or East Lower for cheaper tickets. Perhaps ESU was the only option for 3 together.

Mate, Brighton travel an hour or two before they even start from the point that most clubs start from. Brighton's away support for an isolated locals club with no national support and a history of garbage on the pitch is really pretty impressive.. I suppose you didnt take the Cup Final one as you were still a twinkling in the eye

Think you've misconstrued things...away numbers at the Amex are low :)
