Price of a pint down....what about working people who drink schooners and 1/3rds?
What about wine? I don't expect to have to tolerate a lowering of the meniscus in my wine lake ???

If they now announced a tweak to the WFA they'd totally smash this.

So you really think those on the minimum wage should take an inflation and cost hit so those better off don't suffer? You sound like an employer from the Victorian era.
No. I’m asking what incentive is there for someone on the lowest grade to work for a promotion if their biggest pay rise comes from doing nothing, and yet the person who has the promotion sees the pay differential reduced.

Now if she could just walk back the WFA change to next year, and spend the time coming up with a better way of implementing it, it would go from decent to great.

And may I say, brilliantly, boringly sane and targeting the right people. After recent insanity this is exactly what I want from government. Boring, sensible, slow and calm change. Happy with that.
I love dull politics. 'Interesting times' is for lunatics.

Pre election Labour actually announced the scrapping of the A27 bypass. Saying that money would go to fixing potholes nationwide.
Apart from the Arundel/Worthing issue West Sussex roads are so much better than the poor relation East Sussex.

That's not completely fair.

They're able to ignore West Sussex in exactly the same way.
You have big roads we have dirt tracks.

Mentioning Brexit in a bad way on the BBC? He won’t be in a job very long.

The increase in the National Insurance Employer Allowance from £5,000 to £10,500 tax-free is great news for small businesses. I employ 5 staff, my annual bill is c £10,000 so it will save my business £5,000.

However, it will be a major cost for big business, along with the increases in NMW / NLW.

It was interesting that she didn't increase the Higher Rate on CGT on residential property from 24% back to the 28% the Tories had it on last year. Overall, very little change on CGT.

And she spent the last half hour talking about just investment - it's been a while since that happened.

But getting rid of non-doms, private jet air passenger duty, VAT on private school tuition fees, Stamp Duty Land Tax rises on second homes and increase on CGT on assets sales are taxes on the rich, so it's not surprising Rishi and the Tories are upset. It's almost as if he'd prepared his speech before hearing the details of the Budget.
