Apologies, stand corrected.

So it was more like a 25% increase on the 'per match' price.

The club has said that ST renewal dox will be sent out to fans in February, so I guess that could mean a March deadline for responses. With a tough set of March/April/May “run-in” fixtures to come, I suspect some fans may elect to wait and see where we sit in the PL at the end of February before deciding what to do. For next season, it will be very interesting to see what will be the ST renewal take-up from existing ST holders or, if they elect not to renew, new ST holders currently on the waiting list whom I would like to think would take up any slack. Either way, I would be very surprised if we didn’t end up with full ST capacity again next season in whichever division we find ourselves, which would be great. (I will be renewing regardless and all of the Albion fans I know will be too.)

I'm up in the WSU and I reckon this rise, if it happens, will be at the upper limits of what I can afford. So it'll be a renewal this time but possibly not the next. Unless my finances change of course.

In the North Stand, match day tickets went up from £20 per game to £25 per game. That's a 25% increase in price per game... It's the same old business trick that a lot of chocolate companies are employing - giving us less for the same price.

I see your point but this time we’ve had a better quality chocolate which seemed fair to me. What will happen though if they increase the price and we go back to admittedly more chocolate but just the budget range.

And that's a great illustration of why the interest free direct debit scheme is an absolute winner for both fans and the club alike.

The thing is GJN1 I remember all this talk in 1983 about it not being the end of the world if we go down, the old 2nd division is great and we’ll come again so to speak and to be honest it was dull apart from the cup run. We’re more stable now admittedly - I hope.

To continue the chocolate analogy it's like Revels at the moment. For every orange one you get, there's always two or three coffee ones that you can't be arsed with (but still eat anyway).
