***2013 Worlds Hardest Creature Competition-Semi Finals-Polar Bear vs Hippo vs Cassowary**

-Polar Bear won Group B with 31 votes (32.98%). Defeated Poison Dart Frog 49-18 in the second round. Defeated Bengal Tiger 60-29 in the Quarter Finals. Two Time Champion (2007, 2008/9).

-Hippo finished 2nd in Group B with 21 votes (13.7%). Defeated reigning Champion Black Mamba 47-24 in the second round. Drew with Cassowary 58-58 in the Quarter Finals. 2010 Champion.

-Cassowary finished 1st in Group D with 24 votes (36.92%). Defeated Human 41-24 in the second round. Drew with Hippo 58-58 in the Quarter Finals. This is its best year (previous best was 2nd Round in 2012.

Right, can we just clear up quite how pathetic the Cassowary is. It gets killed by pet dogs. Yes, pet dogs kill the bigger, stronger, faster, more 'fuckmental' cassowary.

My worry here is that sensible people will vote either hippo or polar bear, and split that vote. I can't imagine a final with the cassowary in it - would make a mockery of the esteemed competition, especially if it faces the Honey Badger.

A final of the Honey Badger Vs the Cassowary would be like a heavyweight title fight between Mr Bean and Gareth Keenan

The argument that dogs kill a Cassowary so Hippo is harder is really null and void, given the hippo is at least ten times bigger than the cassowary that would leave the Hippo facing one big muther of a dog which given that they get killed by small lions means pound for pound the Cassowary is much harder!

The Polar bear has got this wrapped up, although it didnt do itself many favours last night on the box, showed itself to be a right pussy, so the Hippo has an outside chance, would be an intresting final the hippo vs the honey badger.

The argument that because hippos kill more people it is harder is also a nonsense, given that they live in or on the side of rivers they are constantly encountering people so a hippo/human fatality is much more likely, also there are hundreds of thousands of hippos and only a few Cassowarys!

When you think pound 4 pound the cassowary is probably pretty light as a lot of its bulk is feathers which don't weigh anything so its even smaller than it looks so therefore harder. I've been swayed to towards the cassowary if only because soemthing described as double hard fuckmental is brilliant

Can't decide on this one. A lot of people are dissing the Hippo because of it's size, but even though it's big, it is aggressive and will look to fight anything it can whether man, lion, crocodile, wilder beast, anything it fancies, it doesn't give a shit. An entire pride of lions will struggle to bring a lone adult down.

Cassowary does look hard and anything willing to right something twice it's size should be considered hard.

Polar bears are tough bastards, will go after Walruses and elephant seals etc.
