i meant killer whales ie the Orca which as previously discussed is Free Willy, the GWS is scared of Free Willy - Pathetic
But it's not really a good comparison since they go around in groups, while the Great White is a SOLITARY HUNTER.
Also that video is unsatisying, looks like the shark is already dead and the whale (dolphin) is just picking at the corpse.

"In one incident filmed near the Farallon Islands, a female killed a 3–4-metre (9.8–13 ft) long great white shark,[52] apparently after swimming with it upside-down in her mouth and inducing tonic immobility in it. She and another pod member ate the shark's nutritious liver and allowed the rest of the carcass to sink.[53]"

I voted GWS because i'm not sure about this pound-for-pound theory anymore. That would make us humans tougher than we are?

Most big hunters,us included, would realise you only have to lean down, grab it by its neck and he becomes the cute little harmless critter we know he is.There's no way he goes round in the permanent state of rage thats described by some on here (a la 28 Days Later) and i'm sure he'd calm down eventually.

having read the story about a honey badger KILLING a lion by ripping off its genitals, im going to have to say badger for this one

the shark is firmly overrated in my eyes - it doesnt do anything special like eating a whale, but the badger can scare the f*** out of any creature it comes across

badger v croc final is the DREAM match up for me, with the croc pipping it in a sudden death play off

The Honey Badger has PROVED its INCREDIBLE determination and desire in the last round, refusing to back down against the Orca.

The Honey Badger is, IMO, the HARDEST creature on this planet.

I hope people THINK before voting, don't get fooled by the GWS's size, and then do the right thing by voting the badger.

TEAM BADGER!

this rallying call might have meant something to me 10 minutes ago, but since admitting that you voted for the dragon over the croc based on its NAME, i am afraid that, in my eyes certainly, you have lost ANY authority or credit on speaking on these animal based issues

hypocrisy of the HIGHEST order

The Honey Badger is an animal I have studied VIVIDLY since this presitigious tournament has begun.

The Crocodile is a well known creature. Yes it is a killing machine, but it is boring.

The Komodo offers something different. A lizard-cum-dragon. I regret voting without really studying the creature but I will be fully prepared with all the necessary videos and info if it manages to make the Semis...

I voted Honey Badger and made it 27 - 27.

Could be a 2nd play off win for the HB

this is not a competition to find the most EXCITING animal - if it was, id be backing the peacock all the way

the crocodile may be boring, but it would bite the shit out of virtually EVERY other animal in this contest. for me, the dream final is the croc v the honey badger, with the croc taking a sudden death win. i just hope that people voting for the dragon based merely on it sharing a name with a mythical creature from childrens book does not eliminate a genuine contender at the evil eight stages

Honey Vs GREAT
Badger Vs SHARK

Why is this close?

If I had no weapons, and firstly fought the Badger, then the Shark - I know which would win fastest. In fact, I reckon I could kick the badger to death eventually. The shark would bite me in half.

Again, why is this close?

to fight a shark you just need to poke it in the eye or punch it in the face. you would also need to provoke it into an attack or lure it in with blood

to fight a honey badger you have to get past the problem that the first thing it would do, regardless of if you were threatening it or infact doing anything towards it, is leap up and rip off your genitals. and once they are gone then you are in a world of trouble

Size is often overstated in this competition I feel. If audley harrison and floyd mayweather had a fight, Harrison would win because he's bigger. But, is he the better fighter? No. That's mayweather. The same kind of considerations need to be taken into account in this contest too. But not only that, you need to consider how aggresive each competitor is. Do they take on allcomers, do they stand their ground against bigger prey, against superior numbers or do they run away with their tails(if they have one) between their legs? Do they start fights? How fearless are they? How do they kill? Why do they kill?

After careful consideration of all these factors I've finally come down on the side of team badger. That's a gutsy little brawler who'll have a go at anything.
