Well I make it two starting (arguably our best two players on the pitch today), and two coming on as subs.

I'm still struggling to see your point for starting the thread.

You make it sound like we had a team out today, loaded with new signings from the 200m pot, and that 'we're f**king shit'.

I'm not sure what the 200m of new players has to do with today. Given that you only started the thread today, right towards the end of the game.
So four new signings played a part with two others perma injured.

The point is obvious - no one should spend 200 million on new players and fall to their worst defeat since the 1950s.

Not for me he isn't.

I think he's been sh1t for the majority of the games he's played. Runs down blind alleys, gets easily tackled, gives the ball away often. Complete waste of money so far
Done better than Gruda who has offered nothing, zip.

………and he completely checked out months before the season ended after getting his arse tactically handed to him on a plate in his own country.
True, but was today worse than any of those performances in those final few months?
At the very least we had a footballing shape to us under RdZ, at times today it appeared unclear what we were trying to achieve…..
As a minimum I would compare it to Luton away last season

As I understand ( and I'm a fule with kno nolij)

we buy good players, pre peak . . . . Rough diamonds . . .if you like . . .

we don't do knee jerk (NSC defeat STYLE)

it just so happens a glut of certain players popped up at a certain time

we've spent years moaning about not having a striker . . . . . Now we have so many attacking players its like the M25 at 16:55 with a boot full of craft ale on Fridat Up front. They're all in each others way. . . . . Maybe this summer we'll sell a few and buy 17 defenders . . . .

We created some decent chances today. Don’t recall many at the Luton game.
FH has been stuffed by (or has created, I don’t know) the injury issues……..

Agree. But we had more shape under RdZ even in the last few months…..

Interesting point on the injuries, we’ve invested in a new medical team, they have data so players aren’t overloaded work wise (apparently) yet we’re still struggling….

Is it the pitches at Lancing?

You can’t account for MOR being hacked down, but a lot of these still seem to be muscle injuries more than impact….

Wieffer plays twice and then is out…
Dunk in a ‘warm-up’

Just clutching at straws, but this is successive seasons

Yep, it’s a bit odd. Maybe a mix of training too hard and excessive caution re players with ‘niggles’ 🤷‍♂️

Everyone has lots of injuries. I don’t mean that in a dismissive way, I just mean that I think it’s something to do with the level of the PL and the work, because we are seeing so many injured players throughout the league. It can’t be that all the medical teams are bad or all the training is too heavy.

……and which club has the fewest ?

But it must be something.

We have data at our fingertips.

As I say clutching at straws, could be pitches, but even our squad players are injured.
RdZ and FH both train at a high intensity, whereas (I think) we had fewer injuries under Potter and CH, and don’t remember anyone mentioning training intensity.

Don’t know.

The injuries haven't helped but main problem is we usually play slow football, 3 passes when one will do and then give the opposition time to regroup. Maybe its style dictated from the owner downwards , 'I want to see a great passing team' because its not just a FH problem we had similar with RDZ and Potter , though vintage RDZ was quicker, better and more successful. Passing and possession needs purpose and energy. and most games we don't have it ( Villa and MUFC away are two exceptions).

Time to take stock of what we have and what's gone wrong and for TB to evaluate whether he thinks he has had value for money and if not where does the fault lie.

It’s most likely a combination of a lot of things. It’s probably not just one thing to blame.

I think Minteh is only effective against teams that want to come at us. Hes looked really good against the better teams where he has some space to run. Against any team wanting to defend he's looked totally useless, just puts his head down and runs into the traffic inevitably losing the ball. At one point I thought he looked like he had no ability at all. Recently Ive seen some hope so hopefully when we get the right manager he will become what we need.
