Without Bridge or Bridcutt. They may have been replaced but not with players of the same calibre for this season. Arguably our two best players last season so slipping back would have been expected before taking into account everything else.

Btw I rate and like both Ince and Ward but they are not as good.

Fair comment. But we've also had Upson all season rather than just January onwards. Probably our best player.

Agree re: Conway and Grabban. But hardly starting from scratch. More like starting with the core of a squad which came fourth last season.

Players who are at the end of their careers or injury prone. I would rather have players like Cook, Elphic and Dunk fighting for the CB positions just because they can fit into a longer term plan. Greer and Upson are not our future and neither is Bruno or Calde, age is against us.

Ulloa was injured for fair amount of the season, injuries to Buckley, Orlando, Crofts and CMS has seriously reduced options for Oscar, give him time, he's the guy Bloom believed was right to get the club back on track after the car crash at the end of last season.

I'd say more an observation - Jones is the shouty hype you up sort of coach, whereas oscar seems more calm and collected.

Surely that isnt a bad thing though ? You need a shouty person at times and that is Nathan - though of course at times you do need the manager to stand up and dish the orders.

It's like the idea that the players we have put on the park aren't actually good enough to take that next step required to get promoted hasn't enetered a lot of moaners minds.

We just aren't a good enough squad.

As it is I think Oscar has done a decent enough job turning a sow's ear into a silk purse.

I disagree, I don't think we're a million miles away, we're where you'd expect us to be having endured the injuries we've had. With our budget we can't put a run together without the likes of Orlandi, Crofts, CMS being in the side. We just need to have a good summer and bring in better than Andrews and Rodriguez.

Exactly this. Oscar hasn't done badly at all considering what he walked in to. We probably won't make the POs but we can't say 100% we're not. We're now a consistent top 10 championship team with the best crowds in the league. I think it will click sooner rather than later.

If you actually believe that the crap football we are being shown, week in week out, is a silk purse then you know absolutely nothing about football.

So it is far better to chap and change every season then? You obviously like spending eternity rebuilding squads, players getting used to the new coaching staff and then instead of reaping any benefit of this just changing everything. Great idea.

May I wish you a very happy Sunday. We will have to agree to disagree, as I have no desire to argue with someone that is obviously a bit thick.

Not making the playoffs this year would be a disaster. Anyone who thinks OG deserves to keep his job after guiding us to midtable with his unique brand of dull, turgid monotony needs their head checked.

He doesn't inspire the team and he can't attract quality players.

I'm out. TB made a mistake, it happens.

Last season the players and manager didn't appear to be able to motivate themselves for a place in a Wembley final and a crack at the Premier League. This season they don't appear to be able to motivate themselves even to reach the play-offs. Something needs to change.

I think it has, but then people look at last season and see how kuszczak, Bruno, Calderon, Greer, upson, Lopez, orlandi, crofts, Barnes, ulloa, Buckley, lualua, JFC all played their part in getting us to fourth, and how we've added premier league players like agustien, Andrews, and ward, and seen the promise of march and Ince and then think, well no actually, this squad is good enough, why are they underperforming?

I know we are just outside the playoffs with a very average team. That is turning a sow's ear into a silk purse with the players we have out on the pitch.

We've hardly seen Crofts, Orlandi and Augestein this season.

Greer, Calde, Bruno, Upson, Lopez all a year older and on the wrong side of 30. They cannot be expected to improve from what they did the season before(which none of them have).

Last season we had a Bridcutt and Barnes who were more content. This season neither player was feeling this way.

Ward is no Bridge. Andrews not as reliable as Hammond.

We arent underperforming, we're over performing.
