I understand that but it was obvious he didnt get a touch and he was plumb, even Stevie Wonder would have given him out.

Are we going to see the full 50 overs out, looks very unlikely?

Struggle here. Not a high scoring ground. Attrition needed, but not sure our tailenders are comfortable with that.

The whole approach, pereparation, team selection smacked of complacency and arrogance. A defeat would probably do us some good in terms of persepctive and a holistic approach to the future of this aging ODI team which peacked a couple of years ago.

England 149-6 (33 overs, RR 4.51)

Denly 31*(50) Woakes 6*(11)

Bat out the overs at 5'ish an over and 240 would at least give us something to bowl at.

Just turned this on, has normal service been resumed? 6 down for 131, this pitch must be a MINEFIELD....

It's very slow. Saffers have used it well.

I don't see that. The average age is higher but the team will evolve over time. Only Morgan, and perhaps Denly, will be gone in shorter time. Jordan for the bowlers. Other than that there's a lot of cricket in those that remain.

They need the experience for those that come through. The current recovery is an example.

These are a good team...

Decent partnership giving us a sniff, Woakes may well get his 50 before Denly but someone had to drop anchor...

EDIT: Denly decides he wants to get there first!!!

Another good couple of overs... 15-0

10 to go... 191-6

240 looking like a minimum now... great effort from Denly and Woakes
