Trivia question.
1) The two stations nearest each other.
2 ) The shortest journey on the underground.
3) The end of the line that is geographically nearest to the centre of London.
Did we get a definite answer to this? Not sure about 1) now, I assumed you meant on the same line, but if not Charing Cross and Embankment would get my vote.
...And in answer to my longest distance between two stations on the same line question the answer is, as someone has correctly stated, 6.26 km (3.89 mi) between Chalfont & Latimer and Chesham.
