Sounds too good to be true doesn`t it but with Peterborough only able to get 90 and Huddersfield 91 and with our fantastic goal difference 14/13 will probably be enough. And they need to win every game as well.:bounce:

Would be great to do it the easy way, win the next 5, and celebrate promotion at the home match v Daggenham

Difficult, but not impossible, and maybe we won't even need 15 points in the end..

Swindon(H)
Daggenham(A)
Rochdale(A)
Sheff Wed(H)
Daggenham(H)

Just let's imagine that, for the rest of the season, we play as badly as the team with the worst record in our division - Swindon Town.

They have scored 0.92 points per game.

If we could achieve that level of dreadfulness, we'd get another 9 points and finish on 86.

And now let's ask ... how could Huddersfield or Peterborough get more than 86?

Huddersfield would need another 20 points from 8 games ... 2.50 points per game. Peterborough would need 21 points from their 8 games ... 2.63 points per game.

NO-ONE achieves that. Manchester United fly high with 2.10 points per game. Crawley have 2.31 points per game.

We are home and dry already.

With the best possible combination of results for us, the earliest we can ensure promotion is Tuesday April 5th, when we are not playing - 4 days before the Sheff Wed match!!

In the last, say, 30 years, how many times have we failed to gain promotion when we've been in with even half a shout of doing so at this stage? Notts County Play-off final in 91. Anything else?

Keep the faith!

1978 missed out on goal difference. Sorry only just realised this was more than 30yrs ago, it seems like yesterday.

I'm with Lord B on this. Stop worrying about the chasing pack - who are feeling the pressure of being all over each other and fighting for just the one auto spot, let's become Champions in style.

See you all at Withdean later - let's sing the albion to 100 points.

I just want it sorted before the Southampton game and for them to be mathematically out of the championship race (were they ever in it?)

I haven't done the maths but every game Hudds and Posh lose or draw the points needed for promotion decreases so if we win the next three and they lose/draw we could be home and dry.
