I find it very disappointing that our club does not reciprocate and keep the scum locked in until the home fans have dispersed. I would ask Barber why we don't do that, but life's too short!

Because they like to play with fire and we respect our stadium.

Ultra bored so after a quick tot up it looks like this

30th december we had 10875 seats left in the home end , today this is how it stands

North stand = 1534 seats available
West upper and lower = 4563 seats available
East upper and lower = 3463 seats available

So a total of 9560 common man seats left if my janet and john maths are correct we have shifted 10315 in 4 days , sales will probably slow a little for a couple of days then pick up on thursday when we announce our new Mexican wonder signing .

despite this being on a Monday Night, on TV and in the FA Cup this really needs to be a sell out if it is to live up to being the derby/rivalry that so many people bang on about.

The proof will be in the attendance.

It's never going to sell out....rivals or not. Maybe if it was a first meeting at The Amex but we only played them a few weeks ago.

those that attend will get it.

Some of the bests atmospheres have been when the fair weathers stay away.

Everyone there will care

This I completely agree with. Frustratingly can’t attend but know those that will should make a decent noise.

Wish we’d have won yesterday as this might have driven a further 2-3k of sales

I'm surprised this sale has got to my points level, but I must confess to a lack of enthusiasm at the prospect of being escorted around the town for 90 minutes then arriving at the match late.

If you went straight to the ground then you wouldnt have to be escorted round town for 90 mins.

Then you could taste a pie, sup some premium croydon style ale (aka fosters) and then take your seats in calm happiness. Only to be kicked out of your seat 10 mins into the game as a group of trainee civil servants and spreadsheet monkeys dressed in black and faces covered squeeze you out of your seat so they can undertake their am dram version of the football factory

Why shouldn't you be able to enjoy a nice pint in comfortable surroundings, without being treated as a hooligan ?
Why would anyone want to drink Harvey's on a cold concourse ?

Why do you think you aren’t allowed ? Behave like a civilized human being and you will be treated like one. I’m sure you can do better than aligning yourself on here with your spoilt brat, snotty teenager chav element.

Instead of Palace fans coming to Brighton early doors and drinking, why not drink in Croydon and then catch the train and arrive in Brighton later and go straight to the stadium.

Edit- Oh hang on you said " comfortable surroundings" ignore that. :lolol:

Why indeed? You are, however, being very naïve.It is perfectly possible to go away, and have a beer in peace anywhere in the country, if that is your wish. But if you choose to tag along with a mob that is clearly out for trouble, then you must expect to be treated like a hooligan and the Police will regard you as such -and understandably so. I am sure that you have been going to football matches for long enough now, as I have, to be street savvy enough to know when to disassociate yourself from a mob of trouble-makers, if you wanted to.

Do you really think that will work with the Sussex Constabulary?
After the shenanigans and lies in the previous match, Palace fans won't be cut any slack.
50 fanatics play up, and everybody gets tarred with the same brush.

If I was a Palace fan, Brighton town centre is the LAST place I'd head for for a pre-match drinkies. If you want a few bevvies beforehand then why not use your BRAINS and head for Lewes or Hove instead ?

Oh...hang on. I've just answered my own question there haven't I.

As you could bring at least 10,000 to this, I can only assume that your lot were quick off the mark and already bought home tickets, as so many claimed to be doing. Right?

Well, it's either that or your lot just can't be arsed with a reserve match on a Monday night just after Christmas, like a lot of us.

For all the years i have attended away gamez at selhurst park i have NEVER gone for a drink in croydon either before or after a game. After a game i was due to attend a friends wedding in london but the friendly constabulary put me on a train to brighton.....
