You do realise that TB owns the Amex and training ground right? The stronger the team gets the more his assets are worth.I wonder if we now start paying some of TB’s interest free loan back to him?
You would like to think so.
Obscene amount of money
Why have the club always referred to it as a ‘loan’ then? You do realise that TB owns the Amex and training ground right? The stronger the team gets the more his assets are worth.
My head is hurting with all the twist and turns and just want it over.
Shit, or get off the pot Chelsea.
Because it’s a loanWhy have the club always referred to it as a ‘loan’ then?
I heard, as a sign of goodwill, if the deal goes through Mr Bloom said he'd reduce the price of Opal Fruits to...My big fear is that now that suppliers know the Albion are flush with cash they will put up the price of a bag of Starburst from the already exorbitant £3.50
Wonder if we will look to Spain for our replacement. I’ve no idea if anyone over there has a decent DM but with every player having a release clause at least we know what we’ve got to pay and can’t be held to ransom beyond that amount because clubs know we are flush. This does put us in a position PB has started publicly that we don’t like to negotiate in. Need for a player and pockets full of fresh cash. Getting anyone of real quality without over paying will be the next challenge for the club.
Obviously this was assuming Caicedo was going to Liverpool.I will take a really sad fucker to booo either Alexis or Caicedo.
You make a good point, Cucu got absolute shite and his departure was nowhere near as messy as Caicedo’s has been imo. The apologists will obviously only blame the agents though. Poor misguided little naive lamb Caicedo.Obviously this was assuming Caicedo was going to Liverpool.
The snake should be booed.
You’ve been reading Danny Murphy’s column haven’t you? This sounds extremely basic but when watching quite a few matches this weekend I was thinking to myself, unless it's an extremely talented winger really and a striker who simply doesn't miss, it's relatively easy to soak up the loss of ONE player out of the 11 in your team. Caicedo is obviously brilliant at what he does but that position can be catered for and it doesn't particularly 'run' the game.
The winger is one of the few positions where the player gets repeated chances to really shine and destroy their opposing number. They have space out there and can isolate a defender, much like Mitoma does. Lose him and I'd be gutted.
So to get 100m+ for that position feels mad when I feel we can cater for the loss.
This isn't re-writing Caicedo's involvement by the way. I wanted to keep him but just watching several matches this weekend, I was keeping an eye on Enzo for example. He had a really good game. No assist. No goal. Didn't stop a key Liverpool moment from what I remember but widely recognised to have played very well.
I guess what I'm saying is, there are actually very few "game changers" in football where the astronomical fees feel justified.
Fun though, innit.
We find the right cogs to fit into the system and others panic and buy our cogs for mad prices.
