Coming from the most left of all papers? Hmmm, think I'll take it with a pinch of salt.

And what a sad indictment that is. "The most left of all papers," that frenzied Trotskyite propaganda sheet, or more accurately a centre-left quality that supported the Lib Dems at the last election.....

Well if you're not interested, don't open the thread. The title makes it quite clear what its about.

I thought it was an interesting article. BNP peddling myths and half truths shocker!

Read this in the cafe this morning. Interesting reading. Shoots down a few NSCers arguments.

Yes the Guardian has leanings to the left but it's more neutral than most and this article quite rightly points out the facts about Facism. It's a very weak and lazy argument to just dismiss everything because of the paper it's in and there are facts in this article that are undeniable and very strong arguments for the opinions expressed. Heck, even the Mail very occasionally has something of interest in it.

Why do we have these shit Left/Right threads constantly.

As has been pointed out, don't open the thread. The thread title is pretty damn clear is it not? And whatever you think left/right threads do engender a lot of passion so I feel my contribution is more than valid.

Political threads always appear in times such as we live in. More people than ever are becoming politicised. It is a good thing and the more discussion we enter into on such subjects, the more we understand, the less ignorant we are and the less likely EDL, BNP, NF etc will get a hold of ignorant, unused but fertile minds. Talk talk and talk some more. Be a forward thinking motherfucker.

Why do we have these shit Left/Right threads constantly.

First they came for the communists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a communist.

Then they came for the socialists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a socialist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak out because I wasn't a trade unionist.

Then they came for me,
and there was no one left to speak for me.

(Martin Niemoller statement about how Germans did nothing as the Nazi's rose to power)

Hitlers policies were "Right Wing" in his values and yet, he belonged to a "Socialist" party.

Politics is riddled with hypocrisy.

Bit of a difference between a socialist party, and a national socialist party tbh.....

as for the earlier question as to why are these threads on nsc....maybe because people have an interest in that sort of thing, and as said by others, it was fairly clear what it would be about from the title, so if you dont like it, dont open the thread.

I agree with almost every word.

However, I HATE the way the Guardian present opinion as fact in that arrogant patronising fashion.
