As many times as Poyet says he doesnt want to leave, these rumours are going to continue until at least he signs a new contract, on soccer am they got Poyet equal 4th favourite for the job with Mark Hughes, this rumour worries me more than the Portsmouth one.
As West Ham still a big club and in london where he spent a long time of his career, just very frustrating that with have Poyet for half a year and already rumours come out with teams wanting him.
ps what do people make out about soccer am i think its very repetitive they havent come up with any new ideas for the show, keep doing the same bits, needs refreshing, as used to love the show and not miss a show.

That's laughable.

They've just had Zola (ex Chelsea, strong football career, little managerial experience) who has failed there.

They aren't going to go for Poyet, who matches everything they've just got rid of.

Don't know who the others are, but you would have to favour Mark Hughes over Gus, he has a proven record in the game and was doing reasonably well at Man City until getting right royally shafted when the club was taken over.

They have two NOBS of a chairmen incharge who clearly HATED having a passionate foreign manager who dared speak his mind or choose his own players.

I'm sure outspoken uruguayan Poyet would fit perfectly into there totalitarian regime.....

 every time someone gets sacked now we are going to get this, get used to it.

thats the truth I'm afraid I'v become very cynical in my old age and believe absolutely nothing I hear or read about football
believe it when it happens eh! unless you are the sort that loves your worry beads

the only people who think Gus is likly the go to West Ham hare the bookies trying to fleece some money out of mug punters. Sullivan and Gold know their way round football, they dont need to be taking risks on managers with 6 mth experience in the lower leauges.

I think that the last few months probe Sullivan is a MORON.

If I was a manager I would avoid that club like the PLAGUE! A chairmen who basically talks to the media every day saying how to manage the club, slags the players off in the press, tells the manager who to buy (benny McCarthy)

I would rather be financially restricted than have a rich control freak as a boss. Thank god Bloom is loaded AND sensible.

Gus has done well but achieved NOTHING so far. A 13th finish in the third division so lets stop over reacting. Hughes is the man for West Ham as is at the moment a far better manager at least on achievements. Gus is 2 years away from being a serious premiership contender.

Avram Grant was the favourite and then it was Bilic - croatia manager.
I dont think Poyet would go for it, but if they approached him maybe he wont be able to resist but you would hope he would stick with us after what he said about Calderon turning down Southampton after what club done for him, like we have for Poyet giving him a chance.
I think Grant will get the job or Bilic, but also if they did approach Poyet maybe his mate Zola will have something to warn Poyet about taking the job, as the chairmen are very unprofessional and i think you guys are right that Poyets personality wouldnt work out for there egos

.

A passionate manager who was tactically inept, didn't have a clue about the English transfer market, bought nothing but third rate foreign has-beens and was far far too nice to ever be a decent manager.

You'll hopefully have Gus for a few more years yet but if you have a bad start to the new season, how many of the Gus-lovers will be calling for his gonads on a stick

avram grant would be a logical choice

not quite sure what your problem with Sullivan is, but when you are as rich as him and turn an ordinary midlands football club into a solid premeiship club, then you might have the right to call him a moron. funny, a year ago or so people were hoping him and Gold would come down here.

I am suprised Russel Slade has not been lined up. After all, he steered us clear of relegation too.:lolol:
