How old is NSC?

Looking at Manx Seagulls avatar (on the Who Thread).

I noticed that his avatar states "Creator of NSC 1997".

Which, by my maths, makes NSC 10 years old !

When is/was the 10th Birthday?

How many originals are there that still post? I think I started about 5 years ago.

first posted circa 1999 under the name Bath Seagull.

For the life of me i can't recall my user name in 1997.. i was definitely on here back then though...

i started reading around 2000 and posting under an old username in 2002,

i started posting under surrey jim in 2005

I've been reading NSC for years (on and off) and posting for 5 minutes.

I started reading nsc in around 2001/2 sort of time. I posted under a different names. I started posting as Statto on rememberace day 2005.

My brother, "simster" told me to join it. So I joined as "Tim from London" October 97. Dick Knights Mum was around then, as was Man of Harveys... don't remember too many other names around now that were around then

Is it me or are there an unusually high amount of 'FIXTURES' on there?

All I remember about NSC back then was that it was EXTREMELY cliquey. Being 14 at the time and a bit silly I was kind of the 1066Gull of the time

I think i joined in about 98...though the 'Sam' on there could be me, i guess...

I joined around 2003 because of Downloaded Penguin

I joined due to a poster who's name shall forever remain a mystery...

I joined when it still looked simple, so I'm guessing around 1998-1999. I was at uni at the time so it kept me up to date with what was happening. My name then was 'Fat Boys Limb'

If I remember right, you simply typed your name in when posting, and could masquerade as any other users - although IP addresses were publicly displayed.

Or I could have dreamt the whole lot up...

That was exactly how it worked.

And there was a lot of trouble caused by wind-up merchants like Kurt Angle. Thank goodness we don't see that sort of thing these days.

I remember that - the whole page looked like a list of folders....

I posted around 1998 as Berkshire Seagull but had to change whe I switched jobs and a former colleague posted a huge load of crap under that name
