Gus Poyet - right or wrong?

For the sake of his reputation and our club, Gus should never have passed comment on this. It's got nothing to do with him/us. This isn't good.

    South Coast Derby? Or not?

    Brilliant article.

Who are the biggest club on the South Coast? (and where do we sit....)

As a couple have mentioned. in my mind it's Saints, Pompey, Brighton, and for us in the near future to surpass Pompey.

    Selhurst Einstein

That made my afternoon. Good to see education standards in Croydon are as high as ever.

Less away games for you this season?

Actually have found myself going to more games this year than any other season (apart from when I was really young and got dragged to them all), largely due to being at Uni in the middle of the country. Been to Leicester, Birmingham and Watford so far. Would be going to Saints if I'd have found...

North Stand needs a new banner...an identity.

Stand or Fall and We wunt be druv gets my votes. All to do with Sussex and both sound brilliant and motivational.

    'we love you' vs Barnsley

Just watched the moment where we sang it on the Barnsley Player full game replay and it sounded brilliant. Glad we're singing it again.

    'we love you' vs Barnsley

Absolutely this. Thought it was one of the best songs sung on Sunday, sounded brilliant. I think people really got behind it more as we'd just gone 2-0 up so people were naturally inclined to make some noise. I sang it in WSL I Block, which for most of the game was pretty dead due to it being...

    Southampton SOLD OUT

Their bloody Stoke shirts will blend in with Southampton's.

    would you change stands

Don't have a ST but in two season's time (am in America next year) would love a ST in the North. Originally very happy that I don't have a season ticket, but now WSL I Block is becoming a family fest, would love to be surrounded in the atmosphere in the North. Loved it at Sunderland and Liverpool.

    Southampton SOLD OUT

Bollocks. Had no one to go with so was waiting a little to see if I could make arrangements elsewhere! Have a feeling this could be a brilliant game for us too.

    Saints match

Going to be a hell of an effort, but like previous posters have said, if anyone can beat them in this league, it's us. Gus has prior history and we've raised our game against better opponents this season (Sunderland and Liverpool). If anyone looked on Palace forums prior to the 27th, the...

    Leaving before the final whistle...

This happens at every ground. My Aunt left before the final whistle and got on the first train back to Lewes. I left after the whistle but pretty swiftly, got the second train back, but would have liked to have clapped the players for a good victory. Unfortunately, when the trains cock up i.e...

    North Stand today.......

Was disappointed with the general atmosphere today, but North Stand was top notch. You could feel the nerves around the ground, but they kept starting songs and creating an atmosphere. Disappointed with WSL I Block, which has become the family block it seems, but oh well. Who'd have thought one...

Who was the NSC Albion MotM against Barnsley? *** Result In ***

Tanno by a mile. CMS was brilliant too.
  18. Shooting Star

    Billy Paynter

I think Paynter does what we need him to do; win aerial balls, hold the ball up and lay it off. He's no Murray, but he's doing a job that we really needed doing.
  19. Shooting Star

    Tanno

He was f***ing brilliant today. Only defender who actually knows what he's doing 100% of the time. Please don't retire Tanno, you were superb.

    Budget is 17th in Championship

No, you're distorting it, as Gus is talking about the Championship. Money helps, certainly, but we've beaten/held our own against teams with higher budgets/parachute payments such as Cardiff, Blackpool, Leeds, Birmingham, but lost to teams with arguably lower budgets like Palace and Watford...
