Not sure it's really a fair comparison between holiday/work travel and 4000 football fans on tour. I've been lucky enough to travel to plenty 'on and off' the beaten path places across the world and it's been great reading all the positive views and experiences from people who've been to Baku...
Fair play. Wasn’t meant to big up the threat to scare off. I agree - these tactics certainly caused many not to go to Marseille as there were a few hundred seats left weren’t there?. It’s new to most people, only natural to get a bit of apprehension, but yes, 99% of the time it is fine.
Hoped I’d never have to see Zaha on a football pitch again. To see him line up against us in a EL semi final and potentially wreck our most wildest dreams is too much to bear.
Thanks for the info on this .. sounds a lot better than I first thought. As a country (from the map perspective) it really is surrounded by, shall we say, slightly unstable regions. All part of the adventure and the price of drink/food would probably offset the likely pricey flights. Still fancy...
Yes... I was thinking about the flight path in looked quite interesting. Agree – anywhere new is exciting, although the Grand Prix crowd is slightly different to your usual footie ultra lot (to state the obvious).
Just want to go as far in this tournament as possible.. we've been spoilt so far. Preference would be for a winnable last 16 double-header of:
Shaktar (Hamburg/incredible),
Braga (unique stadium/warm)
Young Boys (Alpine wonderland, mortgage renewal/bankruptcy and lots of toblerone)
Rennes (easy...
Wait until they get inside the ground and see our Galatasaray style banner made from flames and blood that says..."Welcome to a really rather pleasant place with super (albeit slow) catering facilities."
I feel like a bad fan, deliberating on not the team or club's destiny – but where we'd all like to go on another short holiday ; -). Yesterday's CL drop-ins makes the prospect of not getting a result against Marseille a little easier to bear should it go that way. There's some crackers in a...
It's all very confusing.
I think if we beat Marseille at home on Thursday.. then UEFA should just hand us the Europa trophy there and then and be done with it.
