Thanks for posting. Decision for trying my 17 year old is made.
And it looks like the odds of getting in for anyone who's regisistered is on the 'slim' side.
I think fan's intuition on these types of post-match interviews, press comments etc, is pretty good more often than not. Have to say it was a very uncomfortable watch seeing Adam Lallana so clearly flustered, rattled, upset – and so un-Adam Lallana like. This is a top pro who's won it all and...
I am in the same boat. My 17 year old lad with me. Do I chance it?
If he gets turned away after queuing for +1 hour, that will be me also heading back with him to our place near Spanish Steps way whilst all my mates rave on. A dilemma.
Thanks. Yes it can be Passport or Driving License. I am pretty sure that a provisional is still a valid form of official ID and it does have a photo, which I guess is all they give a toss about.
I think I know the answer to this already... but I assume a provisional driving license is OK for match ID for my 17 year old son?
I don't really want him taking his passport everywhere with him.
Excellent advice all round here. Especially the tip of being dropped off in a cab at 'ambush point central'! Think we'll get the bus both ways this time as we're so near shuttle bus depature point (cabbed it for Athens though and drank pre-match with a friendly AEK lot) but if the Moretti's are...
• No one got injured or sent off.
• Barco looks great and Enciso / Fati got a run out.
• I didn't go (had strong neg vibes about this game from the draw).
• One can only hope the goalie rotation failed experiment is over for good. (Bart #1 for me and has been since September).
• Don't have to go...
Switched my acccommodation for five of us to the north part of the city (Spagna district, Spanish Steps etc.) and just south of Villa Borghese – where the buses may likely go from (thanks @Bozza). Villa Borghese is a beautiful park too. Worked out about £50 per person per night. Very happy...
Superb. Thanks @Bozza. Might switch my accomm from Vatican way then.
(no 3rd century BC Olympic marble stadium this time next to the bus stop.. shame).
I guess no one has the inside track yet on where ticket collection will be and bus departures do they?
Location worked a dream for me in Athens on this note (by luck).
Yes. Taking my son again. Plus about 8 others I know are also going.
Now spending money I really don't have... hunting round the house looking for stuff to flog ; -)
Triple Point Brewery was great (as mentioned by Falmer Flutter #8). Definitely a home pub, but a friendly one and noticed more than a few low-key Seagulls in there for the FA cup match. Trendy place inside and out (nice covered garden) and really decent beer/ale line-ups. Although was quite...
In total agreement with all that. It certainly is not a closed shop (was not the point I was making) and I too have had a ball going to these games with my lad and seeing him (and me) climb the LP ladder. These are indeed the glory days and practically every game (whereever, whenever) is a...
Good thread. Re; points raised by S.T.U cgull / post #224. (I currently thought I was tier 1 but Luton told me otherwise).
I have been actively trying to get my son (Under 18) deep into guaranteed tier 2 territory (which of course is a constant game) so that he may have a fighing chance of...
