Just looked at the fixtures, and we ‘could’ go 5th if we win.
Leicester - Arsenal
Spurs - Sheffield U
Newcastle - Bournemouth
If Arsenal lose and neither Sheffield U nor bmuff win, then we’d be 5th, if we won. That’s not really an extreme set of results - the ‘shock’ would be our away win on...
After another run-of-the-mill Friday night easy 3-pointer  , I’m going to enjoy the relaxing weekend and not care about the results too much.
8 games - 8 points, -4 GD and 4 out of the 12 ‘top 6’ games played. I really can’t complain.
Oh, and Izquierdos back.
Life feels good.
We’ve played 3 ‘Top 6 Teams’,
BHA 3-2 Man Utd
Pool 1-0 BHA
BHA 1-2 Spurs
So, after playing 3 top 6 teams, we have 3 points and a GD of -1 from the 3 games. We aren’t spending £50m on one player, so for those who are whinging about the result today, just f‘k off.
No one likes to lose - but...
Losing 1-0 at Citeh after 8 mins.
1 point from 4 games and you really don’t see this changing much. Their game plan seems ‘Park the bus’ in most games.
Even though it’s early in the season, I’d be looking at Toon and Cardiff to be likely candidates for bottom 3.
Perspective is a funny old thing eh!
Before the game I was confident we’d win. Expected a tough game as they have spent a shed load in the summer. However, after the last 2 games against top 6 (I’m being generous to Utd I know), I felt this was a game we’d take all 3.
Then, after the first...
They are:
Fulham - H
Southampton - A
Spurs - H
Man C - A
West Ham - H
I think we could get 7 from that. Not expecting anything from the Spurs/Man C games (stating the bleeding obvious I know).
That would leave us on 10 points from 8, but having played 4 of the top 6.
After the last 2 games...
Couldn’t happen to a nicer company. Wish the same fate on the whole ‘pay-day’ lender crowd.
I know people struggle and need ‘help’, but these type of parasitic companies don’t give that help. Interest rates of circa 1,000% APR. I’ve never understood why this had not been more closely...
Well, that seems harsh to me on Curran. He’s come in and done well, yet gets replaced straight away.
Yes, Stokes is a good cricketer (ignoring his off field antics), but after all the talk this week about Stokes needing to apologise, make amends etc., he’s straight back in. I’d have preferred...
Eric Morecame would have loved this, nearly what he wanted.
He wanted East Fife 4 Forfar 5, but pretty close (on penalties anyway).

Doesn’t sound good. Let’s hope that there’s no casualties.

Latest talks have failed and both main parties (from the last election) favour new elections. Not good news for a country which is struggling with 130% Debt to GDP and high levels of youth unemployment.
Both the leading parties are in favour or exceeding the rules of the Growth & Stabilty Pact...
I have a confession - I just keep looking at the league table. I honestly expected us to struggle this season and would not have been surprised if we'd been relegated.
But no; with 2 games left we are mathematically safe, even though before the game I think most of us felt we were safe.
But I...

Sorry, but yes another political thread, triggered by a comment I read on a newspaper article which said roughly "As people get older and get more experienced, their political views tend to shift to the right".
So (for those who are older than 30), have your views/voting patterns changed from...
Not seen a thread on this.
Is this a genuine step forward or another ‘play’ but the NK regime?
Should Trump be congratulated for getting Kim to stop, or is he being fooled?
Cautiously optimistic, but can’t trust the NK regime. If it leads to a genuine peace on the Korean Peninsula then it’s...
This may seem a dumb question, but how does a speedometer actually work?
If the speed of the car is calibrated by the speed which the axle turns, then do manufacturers adjust the setting of the car if you swap from say 18” to 20” wheels.
For example, 18” wheels will be (in simple terms)...
