It feels like it has been such a slow transfer window that I am expecting a flurry of activity from several clubs on deadline day. If Man United can seal a move for Sancho it could be a record breaking day
Ive actually been impressed the least by Dunk so far this season. Playing centrally of the 3 means he is less likely to be marking an attacker and one of his strengths is timing last ditch challenges.
I'd like to see them line up Webster, White, Dunk allowing White to move forward when we are...
Especially considering the advanced performances from Lamptey vs Newcastle and March vs Man United. Moving forward and exploiting the opportunities would've made it easier to accept the defeat. Everton are a decent side
We are very naive as a side. We have outplayed Chelsea, Newcastle & Man United but conceaded several sloppy goals and not scored as often as we should've. Everton today we looked the weaker side but we will have games like that even as a mid table side.
The concerns are to do with our...
We have completely adapted our style of play to get him into the side, he is exactly the sort of defender Potter needs to play his preferred 3-5-2. I'm shocked anybody would want Duffy instead
I, and most probably the club, disagree with that. We have an academy full of young players, some are strikers and although not ideal to be thrown in too early some clubs find a gem. We need to sign strikers who are better options than Andone/Jahanbakash/Gyokores and ideally can compete with...
When we consider how this season has started my only conclusion is how good Potter is as a coach. We have played 5 matches and looked creative and attacking in all 5 games, we have a squad who play a drilled style which they now all seem to understand. We have switched from a back 4 to a back 5...
One of my favourite players but I can see why Bissouma & Alzate are going to be picked ahead of him on recent form. I also appreciate that Potter is keen to allow our talented youngsters to develop but I don't think he would want to see Propper leave. If we receive a bid of £15m+ then I imagine...
There is a difference between 4-3-3 and 4-5-1.
Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd play a 4-3-3 regularly
Chelsea often only have 1 up top
Arsenal & Spurs like to play some combination where Kane/Aubameang end up in the box and Son/Lacazette appear and grab goals.
1 Liverpool, 2 Man City 3 Man Utd but...
£1m is an absolute steal, he still offers a great job but I'm not sure it's a role we will have very often anymore under Potter. My biggest disappointment is Burnley are a horrid club
A great servant to the club for many years but if Potter is confident that we have the man power to replace him from the U23's then best to let him go. I think that just leaves Dunk & March from pre-premier league days
He was a fantastic player for us, our super defensive tactics for 2 seasons didn't show his better side. I thought he would have a decent opportunity with Potter coming in but he likes players who play a certain way and was brave enough to move other players on without it backfiring.
Norwood is...
I was disappointed to see his name on the team sheet ahead of Sanchez last week but his two performances have been excellent and he seems to be a deserved 2nd choice at the moment
We have a very talent squad of players and seemingly youngsters who are beginning to challenge our more experienced players for a spot in a matchday squad. It will be very difficult to keep a 25 man squad of experienced players happy but 20+ a few young prospects could be much better in the long...
I too am in Burgess Hill, Dumbrills Close, and I had enough water for a shower before work but the wife and kids have been home all day with nothing. I expect schools will be closed tomorrow too.
I've just got back fro Parkview and there is plenty of bottled water available
