I was surprised to see him sold. Our highest goalscorer throughout Potters reign and no replacement signed.
I don't think we have missed him and Undav offers something similar
Many clubs will favour experience over ability and I think Colwill would struggle to play at both Man City or Liverpool. It would be very similar if he were to stay at Chelsea...therefore his choices are stay at Chelsea or move somewhere different and Man City/Liverpool seems a foolish move, if...
Regarding youngsters I was talking about U21's - Liverpool have given some starts to Elliott this season & Man City have played Foden over recent years but beyond that all these players have had established game time at a previous club yet have joined Liverpool/Man City and had drastically less...
He would be foolish to look elsewhere, the club's reported as interested have poor records of playing youngsters. He has featured in almost every match when available since his introduction
Leicester and Everton have some very good players in their squads. Relegation would set both back a number of years but staying up would allow them a reset and next season they could fight for top 10
Veltman is fantastic, there have been several moments recently that he has been in the right place to mop up a team error and help us build momentum.
Personally I think he is our best defender
Rugby do it very well, TMO is only consulted at the ref's discretion. Often he is simply checking a decision that he has already made.
The best change would be to have referees with a microphone and give a post match interview. Making the right decision is important and taking responsibility...
Our recruitment policy will probably remain the same. Purchase talented teenagers who could be integrated into the first team squad (Sanchez, Lamptey, Van Hecke, Caicedo, Moder, Karbownik, Kozlowski, Gilmour, Enciso, Moran, Sarmiento, Buonanotte, Ayari, Ferguson) and add a few experienced...
Another defender/LB plus replacements for any that move on. I wouldn't worry if those replacements come from the academy. It has been a while since a defender broke through.
Equally we do have one of the smallest squads in the league so adding a couple of alternatives might be nice. GK, LB, ST...
Im a big fan of Webster's and Colwill's but Dunk has to play. Sanchez is a better goalkeeper but is not the starter for some reason but I don't think it will be long before he gets his place back
A really good player who allows us to play a system that brings March & Mitoma into devistating positions with the ball. Ferguson also fulfills this role well and both worked best with a slick passer in the hole behind them.
Neither stretch play and force CB's to turn and chase but both drop...
It would be difficult to replace both Cam's at the same time. We are clearly building a specific skill set into the squad with the recent signings of Sarmiento, Enciso, Buonanotte & Ayari all capable of playing anywhere across the 3 attacking roles behind the striker.
RDZ seems to like a 4-2-3-1 formation with inverted wide attacker's and full backs who can overlap. In such a set up Undav is fighting for the lone striker position or the central support which I personally feel is better suited to an ACM rather than a second CF.
