Keeping RDZ happy isn't the priority. Managers come and go and our recruitment is usually spot on, we stick to the plan and hope to keep RDZ as long as possible.
Not many sides give teenagers playing time and he will know that. The advantages we now have are that he has a chance to play regularly and knows we will not block any potential move should his ability and value continue to grow and a title winning side want to take him in a few years time.
He...
Managers each have their own philosophies, some instantly install a back 5 and hope to keep clean sheets whilst others look for a more possession based approach which brings greater player development. However every manager seems to have their own clear focus no matter which side they step into...
We need players who are all calm under pressure and able to pick the right pass. Lamptey is still developing his game as a young player but Veltman is so good defensively that Lamptey hasn't had the minutes
One thing to remember is 12 months ago none of us were predicting that:
Steele would be a contender for number 1
Colwill would arrive and get game time
We would sign a LB better than our POTS
Caicedo would be better than Bissouma
MacAllister would be able to force his way into the world cup...
The expectation, like many others who have qualified for European football, is that we may struggle to qualify for Europe again next season as the squad has more matches to play. However a top 10 club is the long term aim and achieving that again would be fantastic
James Justin
Ryan Bertrand
Timothy Castagne
Youri Tielemens
Harvey Barnes
Wilfrid Ndidi
James Maddison
Kelechi Iheanacho
Patson Daka
I think any of these players would add to our squad and fit on well. They really are too good to get relegated.
He was a decent servant to us and would be playing a big part for us had he stayed. He has done really well at RB all season but Mitoma has skinned fullbacks for fun
Colwill is not the same as White, less premier league experience and done nothing at Chelsea. They would struggle to get more than £30m for him this summer. MacAllister is a world cup winner and played almost every available minute for 18+ months. We would be foolish to accept anything less than...
Chelsea could really struggle to sign any players this summer. A huge squad of players who are not playing well and no European football. Joining them could see a player be another 2/3 years away from challenging for a champions league spot, a lot of work required to fix them
If we had 20/30 groups of away supporters spending money in the home concourses whilst waiting for a train into the city before making the most of the weekend visit the experience would be enhanced in my opinion. I'd welcome the chance at away grounds
The opportunity to nose around another clubs stadium post match would be a wonderful opportunity. Most fans are decent enough and would welcome away fans for a drink. Similar to those conversations that happen on the train
I'm a big fan but a little surprised he hasn had more minutes. He has only had glimpses in the cups and league time as the 3rd choice replacement. De Zerbi said it last week, young talent need game time to develop
With Enciso, Sarmiento, Ayari & Buonanotte in the squad I think MacAllister is likely to have suitable replacements ready sooner than Caicedo. But the longer we keep hold of such talented players the more of a statement we make about why others should choose to join us
