Two decent keepers, both have different strengths but both can play with their feet. Verbruggen may improve over the season and get more game time...who knows.
Currently Bart has played in matches against big strong sides that like to crowd the box and offer an ariel threat. Bournemouth may be...
A bit of rotation is to be expected. However if no Dunk then Gross will start and a few changes.
Verbruggen
Veltman, van Hecke, Dunk, Estupinan
Dahoud, Gilmour
March, Pedro, Adingra
Ferguson
Bringing in Colwill on loan not only allowed JPVH the chance to get up to speed but also helped us poach Gilmour on a permanent deal as we couldn't have both on loan.
In the summer we had 3 very good options for keeper. No other side has regularly rotated keepers in my lifetime so it could be another RDZ master stroke. Bart & Steele both very capable with their feet and have slightly different strengths so as long as they are performing at the required level...
Ironically NSC spent a year complaining he was struggling at LB because he is a CB.
He was a great servant and got a positive reception because he left in the correct way. Top professional
It will take a huge overhaul to become anywhere near as competitive as the Premier League. Those nearing the end of a career may be tempted but others who want to play at the highest level won't be interested
We have lost: Sanchez, Colwill, Caicedo, MacAllister, Undav
We have Added: Verbruggen, Julio, Baleba, Milner, Dahoud, Fati, Pedro. Plus returns of Alzate & Adingra
Caicedo & MacAllister formed a brilliant partnership which will be difficult to replace but ultimately a decent transfer window
A very good display in a dominant performance. I wouldn't be surprised if we had 80% possession and the side played in a very similar style to the first team. Clearly a side full of players who will make a career in football
I've heard about certain grounds with an atmosphere and am yet to really experience it. We as an away crowd out sing any home crowd. Liverpool was a massive disappointment for me last season as I'd heard this was the best anywhere
A keeper could get injured and the number two be asked to play regularly. This would keep them both match ready. I can also see an advantage to playing Sanchez against a big strong side who score from set pieces over Steele. Maybe Verbruggen offers something different to Steele
Maybe we thought West Ham offered more of an Ariel threat and that Bart was best to deal with that. I can't say either have given me any concerns during the 3 games so far and I'm certain Verbruggen is our long term plan
