Caicedo - Considering he had signed for us and took over 12 months to make his premier league debut I had lost any mediocre expectations that I initially had upon signing. He was so far beyond my expectations
RDZ must realise that this squad is better than the Leicester squad that lifted the title.
At this stage I'd say qualifying for Europe would be another great season but come April next year that may be considered a disappointment depending on how the first 7/8 months of the season unfold
Potter was brought in because we wanted to change the way we play. He did a great job and has built us towards Tony's dream of us being a top 10 side. I think we would've continued to battle around 8th - 12th but maybe with less game time for Mitoma, Ferguson, Colwill, Van Hecke, Steele.
Potter...
The entire squad that ended the season at Aston Villa cost us less than £115m. In fact Pervis & Webster make up more than 40% of the fee. Our recruitment has been superb finding serious quality across the world
All great sides have had an incredible DM who was pivotal to their success. Bissouma is a great DM who breaks up play. Caicedo has ability on the ball when under pressure and can find a pass which builds play. Such players are very rare, but I've no idea why he would choose Chelsea over...
I'd imagine this is a likely format. Steele starts as the Premier League keeper with Bart gathering game time in other competitions until he is ready to take the jersey. Surely he has been signed as the long term choice
I think we have enough already. Dahoud, Gilmour, Gross, Lallana, Alzate, Milner, Ayari & Moder all fighting for 2 pivots. I'm less concerned about central midfielder cover then I am fullback
A little gutted, I had high hopes for him when he signed. I did wonder if his versatility would get him more opportunities with us, hopefully this means another FB gets a chance
I will certainly be shouting "You should've stayed with a big club" at Bissouma, Cucurella, Trossard & Potter et al when we take a lead against their new sides
That sounds steep to me...but having seen someone plaster it is a very physical and tricky task to do without any practice and I'd be getting in a guy to complete it. £400 a room is the last estimate I had but that was pre covid
Brilliant, I love it when fans are so blinded. I guess we will never be able to sign any player from Chelsea as they as so far superior a club...
Abramovich has gone and Chelsea are only spiralling out of control. The revenue will be enough to bring them back but it won't be instant
Not many sides will pay the fee for a player who has only played little more than 1 season, however after he has another season his value isn't likely to decrease and he won't be stuck in a side struggling to keep their squad together as their players realise they are a long way off of returning...
