[Albion] That journey back from old Trafford - the Monday afternoon bored post

No problem driving over the pennines getting there but the journey back was hair raising (not that I have much left to rise). Chugged through the blizzard on britain's highest motorway. Managed 30 m.p.h at times! Praying the odd crazy would not hit me as they dared to pass (most were sensible)...

    Loyalty Miles ?

470 miles round trip generally 4 hours on the road but M25 can make that grow to 6 and don't get me started on night time road closures. Still, love it once I get there.

Highlights of Checkatrade vs Oxford Utd

A really enjoyable game. Our lads played a high intensity and skilful game. Sanchez in goal was commanding and delivered some excellent and accurate kicks to our players. Great penalty save and was close to one more. Morrison at right back was quick and strong needs to work on...

    Labour voters are political dimwits...

Guess you weren't a seagull fan back then, the glory days of Peter Ward and co. Free Uni tuition, lovely grants. Plentiful council housing. Lower costs on rail travel. Personally best years of my life. The wonderful war generation still with us having fought for the positive freedoms we enjoyed...

    New floodlights

I feel there may be potential for eye damage as you are constantly looking in their direction for 90 minutes. I am in East Lower. I will now be using peak cap and sun glasses having suffered eye damage in the past from bright light. Just to top it off I have migraines. Not a happy chap.

Should Brexit negotiations should be conducted by a multi-party committee?

A yes from me. Last battle we had with Europe in WW2 we went with team Conservative, Labour and Liberal. Churchill and Atlee et al. Think they did okay.

Another Labour election goose shot stone dead...

CPS dropping a case is pretty common. If they feel there is a chance of not winning. That is quite different as to whether an actual crime has occurred. and evidence gathered. I have sadly experienced seeing the clearly guilty not prosecuted because CPS does not feel the evidence to be bomb...

    General Election 2017

The Labour party (I am not a member) is a broad church. It will always be so and for me that is a positive. Far more preferable to the I'm all right Jack , individual over the community attitude of the Teresa 'May' be May be not' brigade. Back to my football comparison. Its better to have a...

    General Election 2017

I will vote Labour. It matters not who is the leader we are not living in a dictatorship. Policy is not one person. So not wanting to vote for Corbyn is ridiculous . Brighton are not a one player team, are they? By all means vote Conservative if you want to kiss goodbye to the NHS , if you want...

    Stoke City U18s v Albion U18s, FA Youth Cup 5th Rd, bet365 Stadium, Friday - Kick-off 7pm

Made the trip down from Doncaster, sat in an extremely cold stand, home and away in same stand. I needed a lift after witnessing the Huddersfield debacle . The game was indeed a boost to morale. That first half was excellent and our boys did themselves proud. It was quite enjoyable listening to...
