Let's pray for a Rainbow alliance

Plus the 3 Withdean tories who will be under a great deal of pressue to kick us out of Withdean, Falmer or no Falmer! How would a groundshare at the Dripping pan go down?

Brighton & Hove the GREENEST city in England

If Falmer is chucked out, the Greens have made positive noises about developing Withdean as a sustainable stadium. It's the Tories you want to worry about if Falmer goes tits up. Those bastards in Withdean would chuck us out on our ears if they thought they could get away with it. There...

    Mighty Leeds have arrived

Surely Bates should be building a Motel, not a hotel.... .....just don't use the shower.

Yet another new stadium before ours!!

Lets wait until it is actually built shall we. There seems to be a rule about stadium announcements where you have to subtract at least 7 years from the real date of opening. My second team, Luton have spent almost as long as us moving. they still haven't managed to agree on whether to build...

most of you will have heard of this today [School choices]

Juliet McAffrey conveniently forgot to mention how she and four Tory councillors on the working party voted for for these changes in the autumn after a year of consultation meetings. They would never have gone before the council if the had voted them down at that stage. Read the minutes on...

Not all true, I'm afraid. The kids in the southern half of Whitehawk will now be able to get into DS/V along with estate kids in Pankhurst Ave/ Queensway/ Bristol Estate/ Carlton Hill who currently are bussing it as far as Hove Park. The only reason Scoom and Bevendean has been lumbered with no...

1.5C in Queens Park according to my mates car thermometer. Don't ask what he was doing driving through QP.

    SNOW- NSF Les Biehn

A picture to strike fear into Les's heart. He'll probably have 'Nam style flashbacks if he sees this! http://www.theargus.co.uk/photos/galleries/readersphotos/snowbusiness/index.var.48.0.0.php?s=y Snowballs at the ready!

liz costa comments on the radio

If we were in the Prem I would resent paying £60 a ticket so that players could earn in a week what I earn in a year, even if they were wearing stripes. Such excessive rewards have tarnished what used to be called the People's Game. Floundering in the third flight allows me to skip these tricky...

has anyone been to the Amalfi Coast?

South side of the peninsula is even better, but dearer! You are a brave man to risk driving on those corniche roads with mental Neapolitan drivers on their holidays coming the other way! leave it to the bus drivers- you get the view, they get the ulcer. Good excursions to Pompeii Herculaneum...

    Amsterdam - Advise please

Try the Hotel Brian- honest. On Singel Gracht (canal) near station and Dam Square. Ace breakfast ( with Jimi Hendrix through PA). Steep stairs and a bit of a"smokers" hang out- be warned if you weren't after that kind of thing- cheap too. The YH on Vondel Park does new, clean double rooms in a...

    Porcupine Tree

Prog hair stylist - now that could start a picture thread to beat all nerd-fests. Phil Collins with biblical beard. Robert Fripp generally. Peter Gabriel with centre parting three inches wide! Fish's mullet. 90% of prog fans at gigs= now bald as coots.

Tropen Museum- It's a museum of every society in the world- you get to drive a jeepney through Manila, walk through a shanty town in Africa, visit a slum in Rio etc. Sounds weird but really interesting in a global conscience kind of way. Most info is also in English. Nice Cafe too.

    Ticket priority for big games.

Of course regular home attendees put money into the club. But STH holders offer the club £500+ 14 months before some of the games are played, Even the August tickets are effectively part of a six month interest free loan. Not to mention the risk of the club going belly up and losing the whole...

    replace whing with virgo

I saw Virgo come on for 20 mins Coventry against Luton last Saturday. He was played up front replacing the giant Dele Adebola. I am afraid to report his only contribution was to obstruct a team mate's run to get to a free kick from Darren Currie, who played a delightful cameo, looking much...

West Ham: where's everyone seated? [merged threads]

Poppa Bien's Boleyn Walkabout! Happy Xmas from Santa Knight- Lower tier row L bit too near the pitch so perhaps we should return to the sit where you like thread? And no I'm not complaining since this location should allow Poppa Bien the opportunity for a naturist circuit of the pitch! Dukes...

    West Ham Ticket Details announced

That's exactly why I dropped my season ticket last year. I no longer subsidise the club by buying tickets for 3-4 matches a season I cannot attend. Total priority for STH will have to return if the club is to avoid cash flow problems during the income free summer months!

    West Ham Ticket Details announced

Cheers Clipped gull. Lets hope the Xmas post isn't delayed too much! With the varying ticket prices , presumably everyone will be sitting in their allocated sets after all:???

    West Ham Ticket Details announced

Just hoping my two mates who spent £500 plus on season tickets get lucky- they should have priority though they aren't getting mine if they miss out- one of them's a Spurs fan too and he missed out last time too. If he is unlucky this time he says he's dropping the ST.
