Sorry Glen but both irrelevant observations. Too few pundits simply offering the opinion that Rice is to blame for his card. If he stays away he avoids the temptation of the silly little flick of the ball. He also avoids Veltman's original plan of whacking the ball at him to get the second...
You are correct but that's irrelevant. Rice is the fool to get sucked into that.
Arsenal keep banging on about the Pedro incident but if he had of got a yellow how does does that change the outcome for Rice? Curiously it would have demonstrated the consistency they are going on about.
Now let's imagine this alternative scenario. Let's suggest Rice isn't so dumb as to kick the ball away but just stands his ground. Veltman is still clever and belts the ball which hits Rice and there's no contact with his foot. I don't like players doing that but some refs could conceivably give...
Isn't there a delicious irony to the Rice incident. Earlier Arteta wetting himself to get Pedro booked for kicking the ball away. No doubt post match he'll declare the booking for Rice to be harsh.
That's glorious on Rice. Slyly kicks ball away and rightfully gets second yellow. What's superb is Veltman knows he's there and might just connect when he swings his foot. And all the Arsenal mugs thinking decision will go to them :)
That's awful by Dunk. He's looking very rusty. 0-0 at half time was great but this will renergise them just when they were looking a little flat and home fans were getting edgy
Unbelievable whining for a yellow for Pedro. Sure he's kicked it away but how about context? It's on the half way line, it's not time wasting with minutes to go and he's not breaking up a quick Arsenal attack. What a dick!
That did occur to me too. Shame he's actually been named as a starter today :(
Please God he doesn't score today. I might puke when he does the goggles thing
He's succumbed to the hysteria or he's going to try and sell on at a profit.
Maybe before tickets are sold an operator should come on the line and demand you name 10 Oasis songs and at least two albums? And for the best seats what make and string gauge does Noel prefer? :)
