It's a tough one. I think everyone on that list and O'Neil who wasn't even nominated would be a deserving winner. I think Emery probably just edges out De Zerbi. He inherited a squad in much more of a mess and their points per game since then is a bit better. Although you could make the argument...
He's too good to be our second choice and obviously De Zerbi doesn't fancy him but selling him now would be a big mistake I think. I have a feeling we'll loan him out to a competetive European club to build up his value a bit and then reassess next summer.
I rate Timothy Castagne actually. He's too good for the championship and a better player than he's shown this season. I think he'd suit our system pretty well.
I really, really hope we move on from Nike. I've liked very few of our home kits with them and the away shirts are pretty much just generic templates. I think we're a much higher status club now than when we first linked up with them so hopefully we can attract a better manufacturer who will...
We need Gross and Caicedo in midfield. It doesn't matter how bad anybody else is at right back the benefit of having those two in the middle outweighs it.
He was a top talent when he signed for Dortmund. I think his star has fallen a little bit over the last few years but for a club of our level he's a fantastic signing especially on a free.
I agree that they've been very good at managing away tickets previously. I think postal strikes have been the main issue this year. Not the club's fault obviously but it's still frustrating that tickets don't arrive. Surely there are ways to mitigate postal issues. I wonder if other clubs have...
My Chelsea tickets came about a week after the match. One of my Arsenal tickets has arrived but I doubt the other will come in time. It's really frustrating and frankly bizarre that the club don't offer digital or print at home tickets. They don't get much wrong but the management of away...
Ironically, this thread basically shows the real reason they employ him. Sensible, informed punditry simply doesn't create the same level of engagement as Merson and his ilk.
