I remember the bar staff being not particularly friendly when someone asked for a pint of Guinness.
Always the oddest pubs, I haven't been in the Chandos (near Trafalgar Square) or the John Snow in Soho for years.
I imagine they are the same as I left them.
Clearly haven't had a good start, but I think they are working on the basis of getting their controversial stuff out the way early.
It's all a game of strategy to me, politics.
But since the last lot treated everyone with utter disdain they won't find a way back soon.

The reality is that no party now in power would be paying out.
Political opportunism in opposition is really really annoying, but not as as annoying as the Conservatives and Remain and their merry band of supporters moaning about what they would have done (or not done) anyway.

Ear drops can sometimes simply fill those holes up, thus making the situation worse.
I would sympathy with that view because the ban was effectively law at the time, irrespective of how the rest of society had moved on.
However, there was a shocking review into the previous treatment of service people.

You shouldn't be driving that fast around there to have an accident...
