[Drinking] What is your preferred way of ordering drinks in a pub/bar?

Table service in pubs should be against the law. I was recently in a pub in Formby and was told you couldn't order from the bar. 25 minute wait for a pint.

You can leave whatever you want anywhere, but if I wish to talk on a subject I feel strongly about I will. As can you.

[Drinking] What is your preferred way of ordering drinks in a pub/bar?

I'd find another pub if your experience drives you to create a poll. Personally I go the pub when it isn't busy, nothing better than a cheeky pint / glass of wine "out of hours".

It could be said, but let's face it, it would be bollocks. A punch to the head is a punch to the head. Most people get over it, in the ring or in the street but there is very little difference between them medically.

[News] Mike Amesbury MP - Rocky VIII: Backbench Brawler

Ha ha. Brighton played Oldham away years ago and having gone to Manchester University a few of us stayed up there for old times sake. There was some big fight happening in Manchester that night and everyone was watching in the hotel bar, oddly very many people. It made sense afterwards when...

Blimey. Maybe I live in a parallel universe, but I never understand the compulsion to punch someone in the head. Another debate but it's the main reason I've never understood boxing. For every pissed up MP there are millions cheering on an upper cut. Twat.

Yes, but it won't do much to alleviate his support. It will probably harden it. What will bring him down is the usual "follow the money approach" because that's really what it's about. I'm not sure he's your "normal" far right threat, with his support for Israel and all that. On that he...

Earth is flat and all that ? The internet is a wonderful thing and has given us what I describe as the "democracy of opinion". That however differs from the democracy of facts where you weigh up evidence and come to a conclusion.

The classic Matt Le Tissier response. Anyone who has as "open mind" on this individual is unfortunately part of the problem and yes you are very open to criticism if not abuse. We used to be quite sensible in this country about calling out individuals like this. My "open mind" is about...

From a previous thread.. Maybe you should start ? Nothing on here to suggest you are nothing more than curious, but it becomes a bit of a red rag to a bull with some of us clearly and I apologise if I have come across aggressively. The issue with this individual is not his perceived racism...

I sometimes struggle to tell people read a lot about the far right but I do... But yes, very little new there. Didn't focus on the ideological infighting.

To be fair Tommy is a journalist. Such a good one that he IS the media now apparently. The police have no right whatsoever to check his phone. Even if he is fleeing the country try to escape a contempt of court charge on an EU passport after campaigning relentlessly about UK citizens having EU...

The important point being bailed, but unfortunately there was another pressing matter which is why he ended up back in the UK and isn't making angry videos on twitter tonight with that odd jaw thing he appears to have developed.

Any reputable news site will give you the details. Focus on the phone if you want. Five names was arrested after having to give himself up to a police station after being directed by a judge on an unrelated charge. Coincidentally, there is a demo in London which five names can't attend where...

As completely irrelevant as it is, he refused access to his phone by not giving Kent Police the pin number. What should be more of interest is someone who owes £100,000 in libel damages has declared themselves bankrupt but still has the means to fly around Europe staying in expensive hotels.
