I think I read at the time that the players had a discussion at half time in that game along the lines of "what the hell do we do about a player like that"? I seem to remember it was an interview with Dunk where it came out.
At that point he was definitely the best player I'd seen at the Amex...
For a player that most of us used to think just lacked a bit of confidence at times, Solly has become one of the most assured players in our squad over the past year.
Just gets stuck in all the time, head never goes down, never knows when he's beaten, fights for the ball in the tightest of...
Whenever I look at our fixture list these days, the thought that always goes through my head is "wow, doesn't feel that long ago when we were playing teams like Cheltenham Town". Maybe we will again one day ...
Can't see Real taking a chance on RDZ just yet. If we progress to a Champions League slot or win some silverware this year (ie the FA Cup) that will move him closer to the front of the queue for really big jobs though.
Palace were incredibly poor last night. Yes, a cup game they weren't too worried about but normally even in those matches you tend to see a Palace side with a bit of energy and ready to embarrass a better opponent. The players were almost statue-like, no desire to win the ball, to really get...
Been a while since I've been to a match at the Bridge. Is it likely to be quicker/less crammed to do the Overground thing from Clapham J or stick it out to Victoria and take the scenic route on the District Line?
Might have been said already but surely just a function of a general lack of height in the squad?
I think I saw a stat this week that showed we have the shortest players in the PL. Or are at least in the relegation zone on that front.
So probably no surprise if we’re being beaten to...
Almost impossible to say with this one as it's pretty much impossible to guess the starting line-ups. Depending on the personnel, either side could get three or four.
I'll go for 1-1 simply because I have a feeling it might be a cagey and low quality sort of game.
It felt raw at the time and the news of Bruno adding his name to Potter's escape committee hit me the hardest.
But it was a year ago, in the end everything worked out in Brighton's favour, and frankly I haven't got the energy to hold grudges.
I wouldn't advise inviting Bruno to be a half-time...
Loved the occasion and atmosphere, though not the rain at the end.
Great to experience a night like that and if it had been an easy game against a weak team .. well, what would have been the point of getting to this new level?
We'll learn and doubtless improve. I suspect this group is looking...
