He did look more imposing. It seemed to me he’d bulked out a little bit so maybe he’s been focusing on gym work. He’s looked a little lightweight in earlier games but once he acclimatises to the physical demands of the league I suspect he’ll be some player.
We just have to enjoy this. Let the club worry about what happens next when the time comes. This is the sort of manager that we, as fans, always wanted.
Genuinely haven't seen anything from the three teams we've played in our "group of death" that makes me think they're better than this Brighton side.
Our dropped points were more to do with us acclimatising to the Europa League, but I think the players are much more settled now and aware of...
I remember going to the Goldstone in my teens, often as a last-minute decision, with little knowledge of who we were playing or what the result would mean. It was just a laugh and a good afternoon out with mates. Win, lose or draw, it didn't matter that much. Beers later that evening, some chat...
According to a website I found myself on this week, there is "nothing worse" than a duvet cover that is too big for the duvet it's on. I do have some sympathy with that view.
I was reading the thread about this Wasps move on the Times website yesterday and some people reckon it's a non-starter...
My father in law was a semi-pro musician and performed with various celebs at corporate events in the 80s and 90s.
Always said the nicest by far was Bob Monkhouse. Really friendly to everyone, lots of silly gifts (slightly smutty pens etc), very professional.
The worst, he maintained, was...
Yes, that's the one, and it was the Newhaven coach I was on.
That was me telling the driver not to put the DVD back on. I said it was because of the swearing ( I was with my son, who was fairly young at the time.) But it was a convenient excuse to avoid watching any more of that rubbish. It was...
Longest journey I've done by coach is to Liverpool. Hassle-free though not what you'd call comfortable. Not helped by (a) about 12 episodes of Mrs Brown's Boys being shown on the DVD player and (b) the service station we stopped at on the way home having next to no food available.
Also on a...
I'm still worried that lifting the ban could severely affect attendances at lower-league and non-league clubs, and in the longer term perhaps restrict their ability to recruit new, younger fans. Those clubs can be pretty marginal in terms of their finances and even a small drop-off in...
I'll stick my neck out here and say that Tiswas was overrated. Just a bit too self-consciously "wacky" for my tastes. Yes, Sally James ... but also Lenny Henry, Bob Carolgees and Chris Tarrant.
I suspect a lot more people say they watched and preferred it than actually did, partly because...
Aren’t we one of the leading countries when it comes to animal welfare? Might sound like an odd claim given the conditions in factory farms and some well published cruelty cases, but I think by and large the UK is ahead of many if not most countries when it comes to how we treat animals. Still...
Got a brown pair which were a great buy. Easy to slip on when nipping out for bin duty etc or to get something from the garden, helps with the plantar fasciitis when in the house, useful on a pebbly beach, very easy to clean, very durable, very comfortable. Also a nice wide fit, which is...
Finger of Fudge only ever experienced as a makeweight in a selection box.
Curly Wurlys are far better, though had a tendency to go rather brittle with age/colder conditions, and when chewed felt like they could yank six fillings out at once.
Lovely though I'm sure she is, I have to agree. Has Oscar ever been a HT guest at the Amex since leaving? I think he might be surprised at the warmth of the reception he'd receive.
