I've recently sold 2 deceased friends collections for their families ,
Here's what I did .
With another friend we filtered all the dross ( James Last , Val Doonican , Carpenters etc) at least twice - then straight to charity shop.
This left collectable discs .
Filter by style - rock , soul...
Arrived at Brighton Station yesterday with half an hour to spare so popped into The Record Album for my first time ever ,
Found this little beauty on 7" . ..

This was apparently the original recording , they binned it to use the new word/craze that was gaining traction in Kingston at the time, the tape re-emerged and got released for RSD some years back causing me to queue at Resident for hours! ...
Considered by some music historians as the first Ska recording, moving on from Boogie and Shuffle...
Like most Jamaican record history it's open to debate!🤔.
