    Apart From Brighton

I take the train up to London Bridge and back out to Brighton for home games. Just don't see the point in driving. Was back home at around 7.30pm last Saturday. And it only cost £9.50 for a return to Haywards Heath.

    Blackpool Opinion on the Stadium

At the Amex I've had Harvey's in Dick's, WSU, North Stand main refreshment kiosk, beer and pie kiosk and several mobile kiosks, and haven't had a bad pint yet. Seems to be working for me.

Noooooooooo. They've made a remake of my favourite sci-fi film The Thing

Prequel isn't it? But, yes, they shouldn't be touching an absolute classic.

Andy Naylor - serious chip on shoulder

I think people are getting confused about what is a news story and what is a comment piece. Forgive me if I'm wrong as I don't see the Argus too often, but isn't Talkback Naylor's opinion column? (I suppose the clue is in the name). If so, then I see absolutely nothing wrong with being a bit...

    how was your travel tonight?

There were definitely a couple of trains, possibly unscheduled, that came in quick succession after that 22:15 one. We got on a train at around 22:27. Had a bit of a wait at Brighton for a London Bridge train, then had a 30-minute wait there for my final train back to Petts Wood near Bromley...

I thought the Pompey tickets went on sale to STH at 6pm today?

    Separated at birth

One hasn't had much to smile about recently and has his job cut out in lifting his people out of a period of mourning... ...and the other is the Norwegian prime minister.

boxing day home games at the Amex

Can't remember the full details, but it seems to have moved on a bit since then to something more definite. Was mentioned at my presentation last Friday. There was a sheet with loads of pick-ups on it all across Sussex, Surrey and Kent. Coaches will arrive one hour before KO and leave, under...

boxing day home games at the Amex

You do know that we're going to be doing exactly the same, with coaches coming from all over Sussex, Surrey and Kent? Apparently if demand is high, there are even proposals for coaches to start from as far as Essex and Reading.

    Trains

Yes, that was fun. Finally get home to Petts Wood, near Bromley, at 3.30am after a lovely diversion to London Paddington via Reading and two night buses, the second of which had no heating and took about an hour.

    Decent marathon training schedule?

I use the Hal Higdon schedules as I find they're not quite as rigid as the RW ones and don't seem to focus quite so much on ridiculous and unnecessary interval sessions. http://www.halhigdon.com/#marathon Herr Tubthumper, I also see on his website that he does a Boston-specific schedule. I...

Marmite LOVERS: Very peculiar milk chocolate bar with marmite

Tried some of this last weekend. Got a friend who works in marketing for the company that makes Marmite. I adore Marmite on toast, but had serious reservations about this. I was right. I managed one square and that was a struggle. Really unpleasant combination. Even now I get a bit of an aftertaste.

***Sussex v Gloucestershire, 7-10 July, Arundel, LVCC ***

Thought I'd share with you all that droopy-faced former Crystal Palace manager Alan Smith and his wife were sitting in front of us yesterday. Two things I noticed of interest (and I'm not making any comment or judgement here, just reporting what I saw): a) He seemed to be taking great interest...
