I honestly don't know where it stops. Booing is obviously fine - it's verbal abuse to an individual that's another level. Exactly where the line is drawn between said abuse being "banter" or being too far is a big question. As I said in my post I don't at all support people being banned for it...
Actually, the possibility of the club being told to make an example of a few fans (ok, 49) is a reasonable one. (As in it's reasonably possible, not that is reasonable behaviour).
If people are looking to protest at the unfair treatment of fellow fans then fair play, it's a worthy cause as a...
So, southern_sid , if this is for real (I'm assuming for the sake of this post that it is), did you mention all the homophobic abuse that comes our way? Either as mitigation for your case, or more generally as a matter of principle?
This isn't really true though, unless you're being deliberately selective, is it? Taking sim-only prices , the iPhone is pretty much exactly the same price as the Samsung Galaxy S2 - $615 vs "$500-600" in the US. If you believe those that don't see the 4S as an improvement on the 4, then looking...
Sky News covered the verdict live. There were 4 charges - the first one was slander (or similar, or the Italian equivalent), and was the only one that Knox was (still) convicted of (the slander being wrongly blaming someone else for the murder). As soon as the judge said "Guilty" on this charge...
Good :)
So I think the plan now is to wait for the announcement of this new Sensation SE, and the Nexus, and then decide which of the three to get. Which means carrying on with my faulty 3GS for a while longer...
Will it come with an option get rid of that ruddy great annoying CLOCK at the top of the screen? (If my large font there is a good enough representation of the size and pointlessness of it). It's just a little thing that annoys me - that aside I quite liked the HTC when I had a play with one...
I can see it putting "anchor" or something similar, yeah. I must admit I haven't watched the video on there - but I haven't seen any mention of it customising or "getting to know" the user. Auto-correct does seem to recognise when you use words regularly so Siri might do the same...
You know...
If you can see through the Apple spin, it does all the stuff on this link: Siri
I quite like the fact you could say "Send an e-mail/text to Dave saying I'll meet him in the bar in an hour". What I want to know is whether it can link to Tapatalk and follow an instruction like "Log onto NSC and...
I like to think Apple will have had the sense to realise people will do this all the time, and program it accordingly. I wouldn't be surprised if it just says "42".
No porn though - this is Apple remember!
£499 stand alone, that is (not on contract). By comparison, the new Android phone to be revealed next week (Samsung Nexus Prime) is expected to be $550 stand-alone in the US, so I can't see it being any cheaper than £400-£450 over here when you allow for VAT.
New smartphones being expensive is...
Back to the original question... apparently the new Samsung Nexus Prime is revealed next Tuesday... might well be worth having a look before committing yourself to a pre-order of a 4S...
To be fair though (and I am an Apple fan), if you can get a Samsung Galaxy thing on a 12 month contract, then that's a massive advantage. The next iPhone might not be out for 6-9 months, but if you've still got another 12-15 before you can upgrade to it....
Can't decide right now. Will probably give iOS5 a go on my 3GS and see how it handles it and decide from there. It is upgrade time, but if the minimum contract on a 4GS is 24 months I imagine I'll steer clear for now, if I can get it on less then.... well, we'll see.
I completely agree with this, no arguments at all. However, along the line there will also be several claims that are later disproven, and I just think that the faster-than-light neutrinos will be one of them.
And don't forget what it was that ultimately proved there was no ether....... relativity.
Hmm. Maybe that would be possible, but it would seem a little odd given that the very existence of >light speed has the potential to undermine the fundamental tenet of relativity. Light being the same speed for all observers is odd enough at <light speed travel, but it's a very odd concept...
Counter-intuitive? Certainly? Ludicrous? Not at all.
It has nothing to do with the turn of the Earth - don't forget there is no data request for there to be a discrepancy from (the processing power to communicate 2-ways with every single GPS device on the planet would be beyond imagination)...
