    [Technology] Apple TV

All of this, except BT Sport. My 10yo son also uses it to play the old Sonic the Hedgehog games. And it's also used as a 4th speaker to complement our all round the house music via Apple Music, or iTunes (from the offline libraries). Very slick piece of kit if you're bought into the Apple...

    [Politics] Brexit

For those of you interested in the collapse of the almighty British pound over the past 20 years can view it's decline here; https://www.poundsterlinglive.com/bank-of-england-spot/historical-spot-exchange-rates/gbp/GBP-to-EUR Excellent for exports, but dreadful for imports, and if you go...

    [Politics] Brexit

The pound is the worst it has been for a very long time. 2000 saw it at c1.7 against the euro, so saying it "soared" in the last few days to 1.14 is laughable, which is what my original post was questioning.

    [TV] Dr Who

You jumped on the Dr Who thread discussion with the following "pantomime", "cheap looking", "aimed at kids". Which are all the hallmarks (imho) of wanting someone to bite. I disagree that it's cheap looking - the special effects budgets have increased to the point where it is no longer "cheap...

    [TV] Dr Who

Yep - that's right. Spot on. :fishing: But I'll bite anyway :) - highest audience numbers for a debut doctor in 10 years - 8.2million https://www.telegraph.co.uk/tv/2018/10/08/jodie-whittakers-doctor-ratings-hit-highest-launch-10-years/ BTW i really enjoyed it

    [Politics] Brexit

I think the bullet should remain to be honest. Pre-brexit vote - GBP was roughly 1.4 to the Euro, now it's 1.1, and never likely to reach that ever again.

    [Politics] Brexit

I'm sure Labours 3 day week, closing early on a Wednesday, and the strength of the UK unions (not a bad thing if run properly for the benefit of the workers, not senior management) have done for our manufacturing industry.

There will be an announcement soon that the 29th March date will be extended.

    [Politics] Brexit

And this quote from a thinktank report yesterday; "The model also suggests that had Britain not voted to leave, the deficit would be down to just 0.1% of GDP, or £2bn. It would mean the austerity drive in place since 2010 would be all but complete." Smart move Brexiteers. :sigh:

    [TV] Scd 2018

Always hated it, and always will, but this year Faye Tozer is in it, and she and I are destined to be together forever (she just isn't aware of it, yet).:love::love::love::love::love:

    [Politics] Brexit

It's all a massive car crash. I read with dismay that 90% of the over 65's voted in the Brexit referendum, and only c64% of the 18-24 age took part in the vote. Every single day now we're reminded that both the Chequers deal AND a No-deal will pretty much shaft the entire country. All we can...

    [Albion] Dunk/Balogun?

I love Dunk, but against City I'd like to see him dropped and Balogun put in.

[Albion] If we lose v Manchester City on Saturday

I'd use the game against Man City to make some changes to the side. Balogun for Dunk Berndado for Bong AJ for March Locadia for Bissouma And then play 4-4-2

[Misc] Have you ever made a Subject Access Request or a Freedom of Information Request?

Despite the perceived annoyance and incredibly dull association that GDPR has. The new SAR process (where you cannot be charged for the request) as well as the Right to be Forgotten are two powerful rights for the individual and their personal data. It puts the onus on organisations to ensure...

    [Food] Coriander

I’m one of the people who has the genes which make Coriander taste like soap/washing up liquid. Having said that, I am now able to eat small amounts of the herb in a dish, as long as it’s not too overpowering. It really is an unpleasant little plant, and could quite easily do without it.
