Is there any combination of results and scores that would result in the top THREE clubs finishing in equal top place? If so, how is the promotion outcome settled?
My preference would be a one-off play-off game on a triangular pitch, with three goalposts and 33 players on the pitch.
... I got a phone call from Martin Perry asking me to post a message on NSC to the effect that there was no chance that the Albion's allocation of tickets for the Cardiff Play-Off Final would EVER sell out. And they didn't.
Since they've included Ninian Park and the Vetch Field (neither of which are in England), it is disappointing that Somerton Park and Spytty Park are missing from the list.
My niece married a Pompey fan in Portsmouth on the day that the Albion played Pompey at Fratton Park. I think it is fair to say that hardly anyone in the congregation was paying any attention to the service, as the text messages flowed in.
We lost 4-2.
If it's about getting to play-off finals, then I stick to opinions that I've held for many years.
We never deserved to get to Wembley to play Notts County and we certainly didn't deserve to beat them.
Likewise, we never deserved to get to Cardiff and we didn't deserve to beat Bristol City...
... and, as yet, we know nothing about who he was or what his family want.
Like some others, I am not a great enthusiast for commandeering the emotions of a very personal event like a death and turning them into something public. Unless there is a good reason.
That's a very odd statistic, since it is always the case that the need for CPR will never be understood at the moment of need by the person who will benefit from it.
I'm no expert, but I do have a friend who collapsed with a cardiac arrest in a London street last year and recovered - probably...
I think that is an understatement of the success rate. However, it is certainly the case that the earlier that CPR is attempted, the more likely that it will be successful.
