    Loss of Smell & Taste

Yep - lost my sense of smell and taste Thursday last week. Still not back. We're self-isolating now until Monday week. My wife has just gone down with the cough and aches. Fingers crossed my 12 year old boy doesn't get it.

How long is it since you left the house?

We last left the house on Sunday - we're isolated for the next 11 days. I have the loss of taste and smell symptom which seems to be rather undocumented. Thank god for t'internet.

Have you had Covid-19 ......Could you share your experience?

We're now in self-isolation. Lost my sense of taste and smell on Friday last week and hasn't yet returned. This morning I coughed up blood in my mucus, so Docs have prescribed antibiotics and 7 days isolation for me, plus 14 days for fam. Feel's like someone has run me over.

How seriously are you taking social distancing?

BoJo has continuously driven the "liberal democratic country" line in all of his recent speeches. Problem we have is a vast majority of people see him as a bumbling ****, and don't pay any notice. The situation is serious, but they've played it down. My 72 year old mum (who voted for him)...

How seriously are you taking social distancing?

Firm has enforced working from home for the foreseeable. Cancelled every single social event I had planned from now until end of June. Stopped seeing my parents, parents in law, and only going to shops when I need to. Still going to my local for an hour a day to keep sane. The only people...

Main Coronavirus / Covid-19 Discussion Thread

Interestingly my usually unflappable postie had a parcel for me - rung the door bell, and left the parcel on the doorstep and then stepped back. When I opened the door he apologised and said he couldn't hand the parcel to me.

Unbelievable that they're only chairing the Cobra meeting at 1pm today - what the **** were they waiting for? BoJo to have his breakfast AND lunch?

Main Coronavirus / Covid-19 Discussion Thread

Interesting that the NHS guidance for anyone who is suffering from fever, dry cough, but HAVEN'T travelled to a high risk location or is not known to have been in contact with people with Coronavirus are NOT tested, and to carry on as normal. We still don't know 100% how this is being...

Time to read Mad Man and Build A Bonfire again

Just finished reading Build a Bonfire for the 2nd time. Still brings tears to my eyes. Put's a lot of whats going on at the moment in perspective. We may be close to relegation from the Premier League, but we have a whole lot more to be thankful for. I was never involved in the Albion...

    [Politics] Brexit

Lets take another look at this Immigration bill, from another view - and taking purely the hospitality industry in the example. If, and this is a massive if, we do have sufficient people in the UK to fill the employment demands after January 1st 2021, it most certainly won't be on the current...
