[TV] Anyone watching that jeremy Thorpe drama

Totally true. He did shoot the dog first and then the gun jammed, as he was going to shoot Scott. Scott panicked and ran away and the gunman fled as well. All happened. Nothing embellished in the drama at all.

    [Football] CL Final FTA

Yep. They fluked those wins v PSG, Juve, Bayern and Liverpool and the draw was so kind to them.

    [Football] CL Final FTA

At least United have a string of recent titles to back up the hype. How long since the great Liverpool side last won the title.. Oh yes, 28 years and counting. ( and don't get me started on the mighty Tottenham.....just the 57 years and counting....massive club eh ? )

    [Football] CL Final FTA

Oh, I didn't realise they were all over Madrid, creating chance after chance and dominating possession. I thought I saw them putting all their men behind the ball for long periods.

    [Football] CL Final FTA

Absolute nonsense. You must have been really desperate for Liverpool to win. I can only assume you had a bet or have sympathies in that direction.

    [Football] CL Final FTA

The most arrogant club and set of fans in the country. Their sense of entitlement defies belief and turns many against them. Neutrals all over will have been willing on Madrid tonight.

    [Football] CL Final FTA

Liverpool rode their luck to the final. Tonight, it ran out. Real were too strong, too streetwise and had too much class. They dominated possession, had the clearer chances and were worthy winners. Liverpool were beaten by the better side.

[Politics] Who was the best British Prime Minister of the last 60 or so years?

Blair's government were hell bent on achieving ever spectacular exam results and sending more and more kids to Uni, year after year after year. We all know how this was achieved and it was the most callous and damaging education policy ever seen in this country. It raised false expectation...

    [Football] England being overrated again

Was that unbelievable squad, as you say, really that talented? They were a generation of very good club players and solid internationals but there wasn't a single member of that squad that could be described as world class. Everything changed when a very young Rooney burst on the scene, fearless...
