Was unable to turn up until half time and then was REFUSED entry into the ground despite having paid. Steward had to call a supervisor, who took ages, by which time I was joined by 3 generations of a family who had also turned up late.
Apparently it's 'policy' so, should you be having a...
About a year ago I was always having to go but it was little & often. It was getting so bad that bus rides or being too far from a loo were a nightmare, as was getting through the night.
To cut a long story...plucked up courage to see Dr and was referred to hospital almost instantly, various...
I laugh in the face of recession.
Given the implementation of the increased tax allowances (announced last year), I am nearly £3.50 per MONTH better off and intend to spend my way out of recession!
Looking westwards, I'd like to see P&R from some of the car parks in Crowhurst Road and/or Corals Greyhound track, which might even leave scope for deals to the dogs too.
Both these sites are close to the bypass so short travelling times.
Another thing I've noticed is that football, and especially the Amex, is a place where kids can safely mix with other adults. No where else do parents let their kids wander and I think it's great that, after the game, kids are playing football on the concourses and nobody minds.
Having cut me teeth in the hoolie days of the late 60's & 70's (and quite enjoyed some), I'm really proud of the family atmosphere inside & outside the ground.
It really is a great family 'do' and, as said, away fans are welcome to join us in the bars after the game and thakfully, this has not...
Getting that 1st game right can be critical and I'd suggest a pre-season friendly, in warm weather and cheap admission. If they get bored you won't feel too bad if you have to leave early. A good league Cup draw against lower opposition is also a good call.
My g/kids are now experincing the...
I was in the non-STH seats in WSL and, bearing in mind this is where everyone pays for a particular match, and that game was billed as 'sold out', there were an awful lot of empty seats.
I can understand a STH maybe not going to every game but why would somebody pay £30.00 and then not show?
Don't want to get into the whole cycling debate but the Bike Train arrived at Falmer just as I was leaving the station and a mighty impressive, noisey and happy bunch they were too so well done all!
Bit like last day at school and so sad thatyou'll be missing faces for a while, some forever, maybe.
Been a great season and every home game is a great experience.
But why, on a thred like this, be so mean to the singer? Opera may not be everybodies cup of tea but she went out there and sang...
And what did your daughter thinK?
Most kids I've seen at the Amex love it. Contrast that to a cold, wet, boring day at Withers where, to take your child could almost be seen as child abuse!
It's been great to meet up with so many old faces again but also to see the new fans, especially the youngsters who are actually experiencing real live football for the 1st time and finding it so much better than TV.
It does seem that most can get tickets (always seem some on NSC) and there should be more available next season. Appreciate that this late buying may not suit those coming from afar who may have travel & accomodation to sort long in advance.
There is a pretty good pick up point in Lewes Road. Just walk past Falmer station on the new path, then under the railway on the school approach road.
Cars can pull in and wait there and are then facing south, towards Coldean Lane and are slightly off the main road so no problems of pulling out...
