great player with great experience but at 29 I'd be surprised if we didn't stick to the 'buy talent, develop and sell', which we can't really do with him. but maybe we'll buy a very young protege who's a couple of seasons away from the first team and use tagliafico as a stop-gap, and a very good...
never even crossed his mind according to this interview today:

this guy wouldn't be as expensive as camara anyway. don't get me wrong I'd rather sign camara or ilic, but this feels like one we may have in our back pocket in case those two don't come off
Well maybe not at that price but him and Ekitike, a much younger forward player, are hardly comparable in terms of trying to gauge how much we might need to pay. A new contract wouldn't mean it's beyond all doubt not happening, he'd just a bit more expensive, particularly if he wants a move to...
Yes it's the Daily Fail but a broken clock etc, etc.
It appears we could have been talking to Reims for other reasons:

seems a bit older than...
what does he actually do? aside from a stupid video with him and his teammates here and there, doesn't seem like much.
he's also been looking after his younger siblings as well as his own child due to his mother's depression and has experienced mental health issues of his own...
wow. would absolutely love this. wanted to suggest him on other threads but thought he'd be way out of our reach. if we pull this off it'll be some signing
...having now read that article, he's definitely out of our reach
don't know why everyone seems so flabbergasted at the idea of us signing a player who's over 23. we've been more than happy to supplement the youth in the squad with players with a bit more experience, a la welbeck, lallana, veltman and co.
agree with your point but the players you've listed have all played extensively in european competitions prior to joining city, to the degree where they're seasoned pros at that level. it may be that that's the experience that city are willing to push the finances for
yes they may well not have decided yet, but I think expecting an 18 year old from the paraguayan first division to come and replace our top scorer and best attacking outlet is a massive massive risk.
problem with letting him go is he's that good that we're essentially gonna have to replace a player at j two positions, we need someone to play in the left centre back role (could be internal like webster) that burn also played and the attacking full back role.
