Not 2023, but I watched Rocketman again tonight, Taron Egerton as Elton John. I thought Elvis was great, but this bangs it out of the park.
I'm giving it 93%. And I've only gone above 90 five times.
Aye, its all quite mountainous scenery whereas Malaga is as flat as an all-inclusive Carlsberg. But like I say, I'm happy to pass over the nitpicks, because its just such pure OTT 80s entertainment. The cars, the clothes, the MUSIC. Bloody marvellous.
Watched the first 3 episodes of this 8-parter tonight. 2 words.
SU.
PERB.
I'm just such a sucker for the 80s so it doesn't take that much to reel me in tbh, but this is so stylishly shot, well written and REEKS of mid-80s bunkum.
If you've ever played Vice City, with random hits coming up on...
The doctors surgery of course, due to a nasty case of genital warts I've not been able to get rid off.
(far less embarrassing than admitting to buying the Mail).
Nice to see so many "sympathetic" remarks on here regarding a bloke who has suffered severe physical and psychological damage from this crash.
I have a lot of time for Flintoff both as a sportsman and as a presenter. He seems a very decent chap, and I'm sad and concerned as to his wellbeing...
BHA will always be my priority.
Doesn't mean I don't give a shite about England, or actively want to see them fail. Seems like some people are literally itching to see England screw things up so they can stick the boot in. Its so tiresome.
I don't have to want to meet him for a pint, but we're lucky to have a world class striker to call upon. If there was no Kane, then I dunno who we'd have had as our No9 these last few years when we've pissed qualifying and gone deep in tournaments.
Short and selective memories. Just seems to...
That was in no way like a friendly match IMO. Nobody was strolling about. There was high intensity from both teams, tackles flying in. Very good first half from England, an attritional second half as we were never going to have it all our own way. Kane was the best player on the pitch, everybody...
My god, the comments on here. England have just won in Italy for the first time in colour. Italy NEVER get beat at in home in qualifiers.
But apparently, Kane is a c*nt and we're shit. Right-o.
I reckon most posters on here were DESPERATE for us to lose so they could give England a proper good...
Each to their own, I've been there and done all that. I will be MORE than happy if we can get parked, find a quiet little boozer on the way, watch whatever the lunchtime game is, then get to WEMBERLEEEY in good time to start soaking it all up.
That sounds like perfection to me.
Aye, but I doubt it'll get any cheaper nearer the time. Anyway, not fussed. It'll cost buttons between 8 of us, and keeps me away from the rail/tube bunfights. Looking forward to a leisurely trip.
Already taken the provision of booking a driveway to park on for Sunday 23rd in the locality (£33) - about 20-25 minutes walk from Wembley. Travelling up in a mates 7-seater. Jobs a goodun, but can see prices going up rapidly once the inevitable date is confirmed.
I had most of it on in the background whilst WFH, listening to the greased piglet squealing his fat little snout off. The fop-haired c*nt even had a haircut for the occasion - no doubt to somehow come across as more "serious" today, rather than looking like he'd just woken up in a skip in...
