This is the point I made.
Yes you should play to the whistle, but if the whistle got blown and the attacker still put the ball in the back of the net, and was then deemed to be onside by VAR. What would happen?
Once the flag went up, our defenders seemed to slow down and let the Arsenal player carry on. If the flag going up had been overruled by VAR, would we have any recourse based on the defenders reacting to the flag going up?
I reckoned 10 points from our remaining 9 games before yesterday. Sticking with that we now need 7 from 8 IMHO. 40 always seems the season starting target for 60 odd percent of PL teams, but 39 should do us this year
I’m really looking forward to seeing more of Macallister. I really felt for him coming on with seconds to go, I really thought Potter was just buying time and playing for the draw(particularly with Stephens coming on) but absolute scenes at the end. The roar in our house when the winner went in...
Voted 6. Not sure how i'm going to feel watching games on tv, in empty stadiums.
I fear we're going to go down without much of a fight, and that may feel accentuated in quiet stadiums.
I hope i'm wrong on both counts
I work very close to the Lidl you're referring to and the checkout situation is a nightmare. I would go there for a weekly shop, but I just cannot face the checkouts. Even popping in for office pastries has become a no no.
I've stuck to Sainsburys West Hove, but try to pick my moments when to...
Yes strikers score goals, but how many howlers have our guys missed - very few? Our issue is creativity and playing to the strikers strengths(and we could chart that back to CMS if we have to). How many times have we seen a midfielder or winger chip a ball to Maupay or Connolly when they need...
I work around the corner from the Shoreham McDonald’s. On my lunchtime walk, traffic was queuing back round the lights to Frost’s at 2pm. The crossing gate was up, so one could only presume the whole queue could be waiting for a crap burger, eaten in the car. Really???
I’d just moved to Spain and drove down to Torremolinos to find a bar to watch the game. There were some International rugby games on that afternoon, but I found a bar that would show the game on an outside tv whilst the rugby was on about 15 screens indoors. Just me an one other outside watching...
Interesting that they're getting the two games in hand out of the way first.
I guess if it all gets suspended again then the idea is that everybody should have played the same amount of games..
I do like these threads, where it seems so many of our paths will have crossed throughout the years.
A few mentions for the Suite on a Saturday morning, but what about Mr Ks? Brighton was a great town to grow up in, from being a nuisance in the West st arcades on a Saturday to growing into pubs...
Got into the first series a couple of weeks ago and binge watched it. Looking forward to series 2. ‘Your pony’s a c***, no your pony’s a c***, still makes me laugh out loud
