For me it's not the league position (which is fine given injuries etc) it's the negative attitude of the manager and the boring football.
Look at the Derby game - dull as anything until McLaren made attacking substitutions and changed formation - something Oscar never does.
Even many of the wins...
Fully agree with this. He is far too slow to be a winger in Garcia's formation.
He does however have a good footballing brain and can see a good pass.
Why he consistently starts ahead of March out wide is beyind me.
We have a formation. It's the same bloody one he plays every week no matter who we are playing and how bad we are. Doesn't even change it when he makes subs any more.
You have more faith in Garcia than I do then.
Lua Lua was fit but simply not selected.
Garcia wants to play Orlandi (fair enough he is a great player - just not a left winger) and as Lopez clearly has something over him it's Lua Lua that gets dropped.
Agreed - and for that the buck stops with Oscar.
We had March and Lua Lua on the bench but in a must win game we play with no pace out wide.
Poor selction, poor tactics.
Thing is I'm not sure what are identity is. Under Poyet we had an identity (like it or not) and played a particular brand of football.
We were told Oscar was brought in to continue this but in a more attacking manner.
I have seen no evidence of either continuing that style or attacking more.
All about opinions but Derby away was for me incredibly boring. We went for a point. McLaren gambled and attcked for the last 15 by bringing on strikers and changing formation and he won. They even commented on the football league show how negative Brighton are these days.
Well obviously I'm not there (and neither is anyone on this thread!).
First time for years I haven't been to Watford away as I am fed up of the crap football.
We lost games during those times. We even have played badly. What we didn't do was constantly week in, week out send out a dull team with no attacking intent. I watched football under all the managers you names and NEVER felt we were anywhere near as dull and negative as we are at the moment.
It's not one game though is it? We have played the entire season with the most defensive formation possible and rarely look like scoring.
Even when we have won (except a small number of games) the matches have not exactly been entertaining.
Positivety is one thing but blind faith is another...
