Take 5 is a classic.
Reminds me of a guy at work who received a phonecall to say his Mum had died. The guy told his manager who told him to "take 5". Sad but true.
I was in the east and very nice to be in a 'posh' part of the ground.
It's fair to say that I had more fun watching the grass grow in that you could look out onto the hallowed turf under those gree lights. Also looked like a good party going on in the West Stand lounges.
Reckon the club must...
I think the main difference is speed. Albion are often ponderous and other teams are happy for us to knock it around at the back and our forward players must be so frustrated waiting for the ball or waiting to make their moves.
When we pass quickly, and we can do it, we look devastating. Sadly...
I'm taking one of my older brothers tomorrow night.
He's not really a footie fan but likes to see what all the fuss is about and did visit the Goldstone back in the late 70's and an evening game at the Amex is on his 'bucket list' and he really is quite excited about tomorrow night.
Great comment about 'our tallest player' on the Roar yesterday, 6'3 tall, 5'11 when he jumps!
Also, when he has the ball, with time at the back, the midfield & forward playerd must be so frustrated because he takes so long to release it they can't make their moves so, almost inevitably, it goes...
Before my time, as a player, but greatly respected as a young & forward thinking manager at a time when most managers were pretty old.
Did he ever manage to visit the Amex?
