[News] Royal Albion hotel on fire, again.

I think the Royal Albion was already a ‘budget’ hotel as it was owned by Britannia Hotels, one of the worst chains in the country. They seem to pick up old hotels and then spend as little as possible in maintaining them. I hope that is not the cause of this blaze. I see one of the local MPs...

    [Travel] Airports and flying

Not just easyjet - I flew home with BA from Zurich a while ago. The queue for those with 'priority' was longer than the the one for the rest of us.

I have a feeling this decision is something other than a cricket related issue and if I am right, I hope all is okay with Delray.

Being put in a nursing home as soon as you retire seems a bit harsh - at least let them enjoy a little bit of freedom first.

Farbrace said that we need to find a way to win so I guess it is more likely that we will declare sooner in the hope that Derbyshire try to go for the win which might open up the game rather than putting the game out of their reach and them batting for the draw.

    [Travel] Airports and flying

I fly fairly regularly for work (although not as much as pre-pandemic). I hate flying through Gatwick, too much retail, not enough seating and always uncomfortably hot in there. Even though it is a bit further, I prefer to use Heathrow - T5 and T2 are both far better experiences. T3 is still...

I think the comedy programme at BOAT has finished for this year. We went to a show there a few weeks ago for the first time and it was a nice place to watch comedy on a warm evening.

Burgess Hill is one of the better franchises. New guy took it over last year and has kept it to a high standard, unlike the Broadwater and Durrington ones which are pretty poor.

Here is the Argus story about why he has down sized the Grubbs empire https://www.theargus.co.uk/news/19311199.brighton-burger-chain-grubbs-reveals-reason-downsizing/ I’m old enough to remember when they also had a shop in West Worthing where Ace Burgers &Kebabs now operate.
