It's not as worrying as it sounds as the pitch sounds like it's an absolute joke. It's very much a leveller and Blackpool are presumably used to playing on it.
I'm not but I'm also not slagging off one of our players based on nothing (as nobody else is questioning Stockdale). I am actually supporting the team rather than slagging off players though, which I thought was what supporters should do.
Our squad is definitely good enough to survive. One potential poor result on what sounds like a joke of a pitch does not change that. Classic NSC over reaction.
What a joke of a post. Stockdale has been superb recently. I assume you're at the game to judge his shot stopping (even though there's no mention of Stockdale being at fault from people who are there).
Very pleased that CO'G is staying. Has been fantastic recently!
It's a shame if we're not going to sign any more players. I'm confident with Best and Kayal coming in and Stephens and LuaLua hopefully on the way back that we'll have enough to stay up. However, I fear we're going to have to sign...
I think the benefit (assuming the deals are right) is that we end up with signing a lot of players again in the summer. If you assume we need 6-8 (a rough guess) new players to make a promotion push next year, surely it's better to sign 2 or 3 of them now so that we need less in the summer. We...
He clearly wasn't gash. It became a popular NSC opinion to slag him off. He was okay for the first few months and has been brilliant since returning from injury (and in that Rotherham game before he was injured) so that's most of the season. As I said earlier, if you're not convinced by that...
MotD were saying the same. Completely disagreed with them (although I know I'm biased). Bruno hit shoulder pretty much. Hands by his side so definitely no penalty in my view. My initial thought on Chambers was that it was too close for a penalty but his arms were stuck quite well away from his...
To be fair, if Stockdale doesn't convince you after his recent performances, then you're clueless. He's been one of our best two best players in the last two months. I genuinely don't understand some fans.
This seems to be irrelevant now but I need to clarify my point. The tweet you mentioned said that there was a process to be gone through with the work permit. There's no mention of issues which was my original point. People were saying there was a problem with the work permit, I questioned that...
They're not really rumours about the work permit. All they're saying is what we already know. I was referring to the post on another page of this thread saying there was a rumour that there was an issue with the work permit. None of those say that.
What's so hard about that. He won't be available for Arsenal. That hardly warrants a response of why is signing players always so hard for us.
There's also no suggestion that there's any issue with the deal, which is what people are suggesting on this thread. It's a non story at the moment!
Who says it is hard? There's no suggestion from any reliable source that there's an issue. Hughton was being non committal about the signing. That's what the club do until the deal is finalised.
As for these rumours re work permit, where exactly are they? All I can see is one comment on here...
I disagree. Think Holla has been really good recently.
The bizarre bit was the way you slagged him off by suggesting your nan could replace him. Don't understand the need to slag off our players in that way, especially when we've just had a great result last night and everything is positive...
Seriously? Have you counted this? I assume you've counted every other keeper in the league and compared that to Stockdale over the season.
Also, with long balls up field there is an onus on the player who it's played to. Stockdale could hit it straight to one of our players and lose out in your...
My ratings:
Stockdale 7.5 - Nothing he could do about the goals, claimed the ball very well from crosses and great distribution
Bruno 7.5 - Really good game. I had my doubts after what he did at Wolves but he and Calde ensured nothing came down their left flank
Greer 7 - Solid game
Hughes 7 -...
If this is true, and to clarify I think it is complete rubbish (especially the part where you seem to suggest in your previous post that all opposition keepers are so much better at finding their own player than Stockdale), then maybe it could be down to the fact we don't have a target for him...
Very encouraging. Assuming this goes through, Hughton's first two signings will be Best, who he had at Newcastle and played well under him, and Kayal, who he scouted while at Norwich. Got to be pleased that we finally have a manager being given the chance to bring his own players in.
I'm really...
