You don't get it do you. I do see wrong in Stockdale, I just get pissed off with the relentless abuse he gets on for one mistake and the fact that these people won't even accept he has a good game when he does.
He made a mistake yesterday for the first goal, whether or not he would have got it...
Other positions, I would tend to agree but goalkeepers are different. With our defence looking poor, there's a far greater chance in my view that he'll make mistakes which might put his development back rather than forward. Also, judging by the Stockdale abuse, he probably would be slagged off...
I give up arguing with you. You have such a pathetic anti Stockdale agenda, it's pointless. How the hell could he have done more with yesterday's second goal? It went at speed and got a massive deflection to change direction.
So you and he weren't at Fulham then? Or Norwich/Wolves where we would have probably lost without him. Brentford home in the league he kept us in it and it's hardly his fault that we didn't score to make the most of it.
As said before, people have an agenda and ignore everything that doesn't...
If you seriously think NSC is a cross section of Brighton supporters, then you're deluded. Most Brighton fans I know regard NSC as full of over reactionary rubbish, like the Stockdale threads. It mainly attracts supporters with an axe to grind so as a fair cross section of our fans, I would say...
If that were true, then fair enough but it's based on popularity. People have decided they don't rare Stockdale so will give him stick for one error whereas someone like Dunk can make a number of errors and still get support.
How fickle are our fans? I also find it funny that hardly anyone seemed to blame him for the Blackpool goal last week. Now, everyone says he's at fault for that too because he made an error today.
Sorry, I didn't realise that we only had 175 fans and they'd all voted in those polls. Also, as with managers, those polls are a farce as people are pissed off after the game and more likely to want to sack the manager, drop a player etc. I imagine it would be different if the poll was run on...
I've given up arguing with the mob who want to lynch Stockdale. As someone else said, if he plays and keeps a clean sheet on Tuesday, you'll all change your mind.
However, at least get your facts right, Kuszczak was only here for two years, not three.
The fact that you say "turd keeper" shows what a great fan you are.
As for being in a minority, I think I'm probably in the majority of fans who don't over react to one mistake and post abuse at him on a forum. This is a very small cross section of people who mainly have an axe to grind. I'm...
There was nothing to save. As I said in the other thread, he probably wouldn't have got to the first goal anyway but he did himself no favours. He had no chance with the other two goals. His catching and distribution were good other than the first goal and he did nothing else wrong. I stand by...
Yes, really. He has done really well over the last couple of months. He's made one mistake in that time and even that he would probably not have got to anyway. The Blackpool goal wasn't his fault, and even if you're blinkered anti Stockdale view thought it was, 6 points is a joke as it was 0-0...
Complete rubbish. One of our best players in the last three months. Sadly, there seem to be a lot of people waiting to slag him off after one mistake. As I said earlier in the thread, a sad reflection on our fans
Says the person who gave Stockdale 0. He can be blamed for the first, although I don't think he would have got it anyway. To blame him for any of the other two goals is a joke and shows an agenda. Marking anyone 0 suggests you need to grow up
I was going long before then too despite growing up in London where everyone supports Arsenal, Tottenham, Man U etc.
I don't think I'm blinkered. To me, Stockdale has been one of our best players in the last three months and he's getting very unfair stick from many, including you. As I said...
