    [Misc] The Athletic

Never paid full price but happy with the different discounts offered. If I don't get an offer at renewal I just cancel as it is only usually a few weeks before a new offer comes up. As others have said, there is some great journalism on the site if you have time to read, especially if you have...

[Drinking] Do you know these Brighton pubs?

Sorry - should have been clear that I was talking about The Juggs, not the BoT.

[Drinking] Do you know these Brighton pubs?

I'm sure @Yes Chef will have a view on that. If you didn't want to run a kitchen, there seem to be plenty of food vendors happy to come to pubs to sell their food. Having a rotation of different types of food can be good in village settings as you could also get people traveling from nearby...

[Sussex] Where can you buy the most expensive pint of Harvey's in the world?

My Dad used to walk one of our dogs at lunchtimes after he retired. One day, we went to take the dog to to the park where my Dad used to walk the dog but the dog (on her extended lead) turned right and through the doors to the local bookies, to be greeted by name by the regulars! The dog never...

[Other Sport] Official NFL Thread 2023/2024

Somehow the Broncos are now only one game behind the Chiefs in the AFC West. Did anyone manage to watch all of the Vikings v Raiders? What a thriller!

[Albion] Breaking a club record at Arsenal?

As a defender, I have to say that game was an absolute defensive masterclass and quite enthralling. Maybe Glenn Murray doesn’t remember the game quite so fondly though :)

    [Albion] Injuries

I know you often get stick for your positivity around the club but this is a good demonstration of the current status and how well we are holding in there under the circumstances. Hopefully, this won't be needed in a few weeks as we get players back.

[Travel] Dull bus question - 29 from Uckfield on Sat (Burnley)

About 12" in my case (Mrs DCH may argue the exact figure though!)

    [Albion] No trains for Brentford

A quick google seems to say that those Ensign buses came down from Purfleet. Fair play to the club for reaching out far and wide to get transport. I see Seagull Travel had coaches from Eastbourne working at least one West Sussex route as they tried to increase capacity so another good job.

[Drinking] Brewdog: hipsters”, “pretentious”, “wankers”, “********s” or simply "full of s**t"?

I see that the range doesn't include any of the really high ABV stuff, even with the guest beers. I wonder if that was an agreement with the Airport.

[Albion] How many saw Jack Hinshelwood's first Albion goal?

Not sure what was going on but the ST coaches were delayed getting out of the coach park due to traffic issues outside.

[Albion] Father/Son duo's who have SCORED for the Albion?

Did Carl Tiler ever score an own goal for Forest or Barnsley against us as I'm sure his dad Ken Tiler scored a couple for us in the 70's

    Surely Norman and Charlie Cook

[Albion] Did… did we just play with a Libero?!

With Mrs DCH watching his documentary on Netflix, what better time to revisit an old joke David Beckham was playing against George Weah and kept running up to him and going "shhh" before running away. Eventually, one of David's team mates had to tell him "no, he's a Liberian".

[Albion] Food waste at the Amex

Before the match in the WSU there seemed to be a larger number of sausage rolls available than usual so not surprised they ended up with a surplus. Much as I like the Piglets stuff, those sausage rolls are seriously overpriced at the Amex so no wonder they get left over. At Plumpton...

    [Albion] Officials for Burnley

For all of our history with him, Hoops is one of the better refs around these days and I don't recall any issues with him in recent games.
